Pros: It is nice and quiet, the adjustable top shelf lets me get more dishes onto the top rack, and it is easy to use.
Cons: It melted one of my flexible cutting mats, though that tells me that things are definitely sanitized when they come out. I'd suggest keeping such items towards the front of the machine. The stainless steel interior makes it very dark inside so it's a bit more difficult to see in with out pulling the racks out, on the other hand germs don't like stainless so back to nice and sanitized. The wash cycle is much longer than I'm used to, I used to be able to get a cycle...
read full review »We took the advice of a previous reviewer and got the 5 year warranty because, although this dishwasher has performed incredibly well and has met our every expectation to date, it is true that it has been cheapened...I don't know if it was made in China or not, but I DO know that the installation manual came with TWO inserts, both of which were changes that cheapened prior versions:
1.) the previous metal fittings for connecting the water line have been replaced with a plastic fitting with plastic threads!!! So be VERY careful you start the threading correctly or you'll easily strip the threads....
read full review »When my maytag dishwasher gave up the ghost I figured time to get me a Kenmore. One came with the house when we moved in and it worked like a charm until it needed replacement (11yrs old). So being a Sears loyalist I shopped around and decided on the Kenmore Elite 24" built in.
This was the most expensive dishwasher I ever bought, but I wanted a high end product. It had everything we wanted. Adjustable upper rack, stainless tub, quiet and a great energy rating.
Too bad it doesn't clean as well as my Maytag, or my first Kenmore, and it smells inside even though I rinse...
read full review »After researching dishwashers for months and reviewing consumer ratings we went to the Sears store to make our big purchase. This was a big deal to us to get the best value for our $$$. We almost purchased an LG (it was rated highly also) because we love our LG washer and dryer, but the LG dishwasher didn't have a front display so we could see when the cycle was done to let our dishes air dry. This Kenmore model had high ratings and reviews in consumer magazines so it was our next top choice. read full review »We replaced a ten year old Kitchen Aid DW three months ago with this unit. We really comparison shopped. This was the best value for the dollar. Make sure the space available will match the units specs. Ours did. It is quiet and very efficient and the dishes look superb when they come out.
All we do is hit Smart Wash and hit the start button and we are outta there. We do clean the food off the dishes and pots before we put them in the DW. Also you really want to use a Rinse aid -- This is VERY important. Follow the directions from Kenmore and you will get spotless dishes, silverware and pans....

My Whirlpool was very old, came with the house. Was looking for a replacement, trying to stick with Whirlpool, but were getting bad reviews on this website. So, this one caught my eye. read full review »We purchased a Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash QuietDeluxe 2-1/2 years ago and it is already falling apart. It used to be one of the quietest dishwashers We've heard. Then one day it started getting louder and louder. Within a week it sounded like a tank coming down the road. I'm guessing Kenmore (sears) buys low grade parts from China because from what I've researched many other people are having the same problem. read full review »I purchased a Sears elite dishwasher one year ago and honestly it is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. The dishes do not clean well, the dishes stink, and the dishwasher sometimes does not drain. I would never ever buy a Sears dishwasher again. Read all reviews before purchasing this diswasher.
noisy does not clean very good should of kept my ge very hard to load bottom line do not buy it runs long
