We purchased it new 36 months ago with the extended warranty. The repair man has been to fix it 18 times NO KIDDING. Before putting out this amount of money for a washer I did quite a bit of research and looked at a lot of different machines. I'm glad I did, this is a great washing machine. It's well worth the expense. I've had this machine for over a year now and not a lick of problems with it. It's very easy to program and use. Some of the machines I looked at you could either put liquid or powder with the Elite you can do both, so if you use a laundry booster it's no problem. I have had this excellent machine for two years, and it has totally exceeded my expectations. It has very well laid out features and very easy to program and use. I have always been able to wash up to the full capacity with great results. I had almost given up on getting whites to be white again, but it did especially well with the new loading compartments to get all clothes extra clean.
We've had this washer for more than two years, and use it most every day. The ONLY problem we've had is the rubber seal slipping off, causing a leak, but that was easily fixed. When washing small items (ie: kids socks), run your hand through the rubber seal (between the folds) to get out any small items that may have lodged in there (maybe we found where all those lost socks go...). We DID notice a drop in water consumption after installing this washer, and love the custom modes for controlling water temperature and cycle length. It's a bit pricey, but we've never regretted this purchase.
I have had he3, model45862 since 6/2/07. I have a lot of pets including 4 cats and 2 horses. I love how I can wash bed comforters and heavy throw rugs without the bother and expence of a commercial laundry. I even wash horse sheets and blankets. It gets nearly all the water out too so drying is quick. The only problem it has is with very small loads; it fails half the time to spin the water out at the end of the cycle leaving the items sopping wet. I have to run it again or wring them out myself.
Because there wasn't one that went in between 4 and 5! I do love all the conveniences of this washing machine. My only drawback has been the fabric softner dispenser...I have to dry it out with each wash. It may be just an operator problem, but, I think not. For some reason it leaves water in the bottom of the holding area. I labeled it as a feature...thus the 4 stars. Otherwise, I totally give it 5 stars!
I love this machine. It is very efficient and easy to operate. The clothes come out very clean every time and I can wash very large loads which cuts down on time. The options are excellent because it will even allow you wash handwashables in this machine. I would highly recommend this machine to consumers. Front loading machines also conserve energy and will lower your utility bills.
Have had more then a few issues with the computerized door lock. A purchase of this item will have you calling the repairman every 2 months.
I've been using this machine for three months and can't believe the difference in water usage, cleanliness and savings on detergent costs. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
I've had this machine for about a year and i'm very satisfied with it! I can wash larger loads at a time now, more then i could with my old "top" load washer, and it seems to get the clothes really clean! Also very durable, easy to operate and so much more quieter then my old one!! Would recommend this great machine!
wife loves the washer cleans great with new He products the only problem we have had with this front loader and using cold water wash with He soap it leave musty odors in the drum and we have to clean the drum more often than our older kenmore top loader. we cleaned the older kenmore only once or twice in the 12 years we owned it this one we have to clean every month to keep traped odors down.
also has very fragile plastic parts on door latch broke in first month of owning called to repair we had maint. agrreement the repair man said caused by slamming door to hard. they would have to charge...

I have had this machine for over two years, no problems. It was a lot of money, but once you use it you'll never regret it. It performs great. After having the large capacity front load I could never go back to an unenvironmental top load. I have a large family and while doing laundry still isn't fun, I can get through it quickly and with little effort. The kids' clothes are cleaner than I ever thought they could be. The towels have gotten cleaner and thicker too. If this machine ever wears out, I will definately get something comperable-and soon!
If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
