That's a good question, as the Sears web site specs don't show the voltage. Being that it makes its heat from burning gas, I would imagine the motor and controls run on 115 volts, but we can't rely on my imagination. I don't know if it generates its steam from the gas or it has a separate heating element for boiling the water to steam. It WOULD be nice if the spec sheets included the info you are looking for. :-)

Gas dryers run on 120v. Electric dryers (with the exception of the tiniest models) run on 240v. The steam is generated by a spray of water into the drum while the dryer is heating, so no additional energy is required for that feature to be used.

You'd be amazed how many people plug a gas dryer into 120 volts (for electronics and drum motor) expecting the dryer to dry, with no gas hook up!
