My husband bought this for me for christmas and I love it so much! The size is perfect, all the options are great, and ive washed and actually enjoyed washing since Ive gotten it :) I have had NO problems and would recomend this washer/dryer to anyone looking for one :)

This machine has been a nightmare for most of the 4 years that we have owned it. Between the door frame breaking 5 times, replacing the door hinge, replacing the door seal and now the basket bearing going out after only 4 years of use I'm sick of it! We have had three of these washers in our home so far. The first one came with a broken drum. We suspected there was a problem with the machine when it was on it's spin cycle, and it sounded like there was a freight train going through our home. We had a Sears guy delivering a completely different appliance, and he heard it on it's spin cycle, and asked to take a look at it. He opened the door and shook the drum around, and told us it was delivered broken. Delivery people BROKE the machine on delivery and left me with the need to call for repairs after the first hour of receipt. Repair person came a day later and informed that the machine was broken beyond repair. I called for a new machine. love it, had a problem at first with washer and sears did a good job of customer service and brought another new one ,it washes and dries far better and cleaner than i ever could have hoped. Thank you..
I bought this machine for the efficiency and all of the cycle options it provides and also because it's supposed to be more gentle on clothes.
The worst thing about this machine is the inevitable mildew smell that will never go away and if you don't remove your clothes right away you will have to wash them all over again to get rid of the smell. It's easy to forget to remove your clothes since most cycles take forever to finish!
Also the washer leaves your clothes in this awful twisted tangled mess that you have to unravel before putting them in the dryer.

Purchasing the Kenmore Washer/Dryer was the single worst decision of my life! The washer does not work after Sear's has come out at least 5 times. Each repairman says something different and we are faced looking at blinking red lights saying F-06 (Drain and Spin). Our clothes are then rung out by hand and placed on a Clothes Line outside! After living through Hurricane Kartina, I hoped that water would again be our friend. Instead me and my family are living with a Sedona Color Washer (that color is now discontinued), that will not work. The only resolution is to have the Washer replaced through...

this machine worked great for 6 months and then just stopped.
We have been trying to get it repaired for 6 weeks and they keep telling us it's another part and then another part. Something about the wiring harness and circuit board don't fit right and after a few months things vibrate out and won't go back in all the way unless you take a hammer to them.
Getting this taken take care of has been like pulling teeth and the laundramat is my only recourse. AVOID THIS MACHINE !!!!
I bought the HE3 about three years ago and am convinced it's the worst large pruchase I have ever made.Every time I use the machine a horrible smell fills the house when the tub drains.The soap dispenser grows mold no matter how hard I try to keep it dry.Mold also grows between the rubber seal and the tub. I've tried everyting to get rid of the mold but it keeps coming back.I'm very sorry I bought a front laoding machine, and will strongly caution anyone I know never to purchase one.
We like this washer it spins the clothes all most dry that is nice
And it's quit the steam cycle is nice and the water use is low.
My parents have had a Kenmore washer for 25 years. Just today the machine had its first problem, a bad valve solenoid. I made a very simple repair to replace it and now all is fine. By the looks of parts inside the washer it will definitely work for at least another 10 years.
I bought the 3ht close to 5 years ago and by far it is the best washer ever made. Of course I never had any problems and the thing has far exceeded my cleaning and savings expectations. The best part is washing the king size bed covers; no other washer can get king size covers that clean. Don't even try a laundromate.

I have had my HE3 for nearly 2 years with the maintenance agreement. if the initial vibrating the entire house wasn't bad enough, this machine has had constant breakdowns. We have been left stranded with no washer for several weeks every couple of months for a $1,200 washer. Repair is like pulling teeth to meet their requirements, rediculous guidlines for service availability that no one can meet. We are one more call away from qualifying for the lemon law on the worst purchase I have ever made.
I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOT TO BUY KENMORE
I have had my machine since July - Fabric Softner dispenses with the soap, have had 7 people here to fix and replace parts, last guy that came out, fixed the despenser, well i thought he did. STILL dispensing both softner and soap at same time. SENIOR tech came out and did the replacement, told me i would see a little water but not to worry, came home from long weekend, guess what that little bit of water turned out to be a flood in my washroom.
Machine vibrates the whole house, this is the first time I have bought appliances from sears, not their fault, but will never buy a kenmore appliance again........

We purchased this washer 5 months ago and I love it's performannce. It runs quietly and saves us dryer time because the clothes come out almost dry. It has many different settings to choose from and does a great job from whites to delicates. I would highly recommend this washer.
