“dries clothes when it works, but breaks due to inferior quality ”

Bought less than a year ago.  First, the door was on the wrong side and poorly made (wouldn't latch).  Sent it back and waitd for a replacement.  This one woerked well for a week or two, then kept getting the f70 error  message.  Fed up, complained, got a new machine.

 

Now, almost a year later, the f70 error is back (mysteriously) and causing problems again.  Does sears know how to manufacture anymore?  Kenmore used to mean quality, but this is ridiculous that they cannot build something that lasts even a year.

“Love IT”

I love my Kenmore He5 washer and dryer that I received for a Christmas present from my husband. I love the different options available for both. I know that I am saving on water and soap usage with the washer and energy usage with the dryer. I applied for the rebates with Sears and our local water, utility companies. What a savings.

“Doors on both dryer & washer are cheap”

I bought the washer and the dryer 2 years ago. Six month after my purchase the silver piece on the door that goes over the screw popped out. Then after 2 months the other one popped out and so on. To make things worse, one week ago I pulled the knob on the dryer to take out laundry and instead of pulling out my clothes I pulled out the knob. Cheap plastic, that's all I could say. Overall the dryer and washer are really good. I'm satisfied that I purchased them.

“Terrible quality control”

Since purchasing the washer and dryer in Feb. "07 Sears has had to replace the dryer for a gas leak and make 2 service calls on the replacement to fix problems with the control panel. As of this writing it is still not working properly.

“Best I've ever had”

I've had this washer, and the matching dryer, for a little over 2 years and I LOVE them. I can do huge amounts of laundry in one load which saves me tons of time. And I love all the features. I can design the perfect cycle for exactly what I'm washing!

“Bad Door Handles”

I've owned this product for just over a year now and have replaced the door handles 4 times. Sears is no help and I'd purchase another brand if I had yo do it again. If you don't mind spending $80.00 twice a year after the one year warranty this is the dryer for you.

“MY DREAM COME TRUE”

Sorry this is really about your Kenmore Elite HE 4/4t series. I couldn't live without them. I have a very bad back and these have saved my life. On the platforms they are just the right height. You don't have to bend over to transfer cloths from washer to dryer. I don't have to make a seperate run to the laundrymat anymore to wash and dry my King size comforter, or sleeping bags{which by the way would be torn to shreds in a regular washer}, and pillows, I can wash my pillows without them getting all bunched up. “Great dryer”

Have it best dryer I ever owned....Dry's very fast very easy to use. I gave the quality rating a 4 because the door handle broke off 2 times. other than that no problems
