This Kenmore Elite microwave looks great next to our Kenmore Elite double wall oven. It is a bit costly but has a lot of nice features, like dialing in "frozen vegetables" and letting the oven do the rest. The combination of the rotating and shifting (left and right) platter means that food gets cooked more evenly. Be careful when cleaning so you don't scratch the stainless steel. The door on our model was not locking when we first got it (unless you pushed on it really hard), but that issue resolved itself pretty quickly so I guess it just needed to get "broken in" a bit.
I love this microwave! It is simple to use yet powerful enough to do the job in half the amount of time it took my previous microwave. The convection part is amazing; it is like having two appliances in one! I love the stainless steel design and the interior is large. One other thing, it does not have the wire rack that most microwaves have today that I find to be a waste of space, and if not properly inserted, will spark and damage the appliance.

The Elite Micro is fine. Only complaint is that you cannot see timer when standing close. The power setting can be read fine. Plus any other wordage. But the timer is not viewable when standing close. The window needs to be one half inch taller to allow viewing.
If you purchase the Kenmore Elite Microwave, be sure to buy the extended warranty as you will surely need it - and you will need to KEEP extending it. My door handle has broken 3 times (It has to be four times in one year before they admit it's a lemon!) The buttons for the fan, and light keeps getting stuck and has also been replaced a number of times. They have also replaced the whole control panel twice. I strongly suggest picking a different model. I know I will next time. The pro - it looks good, and also cooks very well when it's working.
