Kenmore Elite Oasis Agitator 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity Top-Load Washer —

I love this washer. I've had it for about 6 months. Prior to this, we had another Kenmore washer that lasted for 15 years. My husband is a lineman for Duke Energy and gets grease, tar, etc on his clothing. Our 2 children also tend to get quite messy playing sports and taking care of 4H animals. This washer uses very little water, less expensive HE detergents, and washes almost twice the load as my previous washer. Drying time is not increased due to the larger load because most of the water is spun out of the laundry in the washing machine. ***LOVE the DELAYED start for up to 8 hours!!!! (don't have to start the machine after showers, can start a load right before I get home from work, etc) When the delivery men installed the machine, they commented that this was their favorite machine. They, as well as the sales person, commented on the noise, vibration, and foul odors of the front load machines. After much online investigation, my husband and I both are pleased with this selection. I know that there is concern about the life of the digital display and life of the computer. I hope that I am not disappointed. As far as Sears' customer service is concerned, we purchased the warranty when we first started having trouble with our old washer. Since it would have been about the same cost to repair the old machine as it would have been to purchase the new one, Sears gave us the Warranty amount towards a new machine. Delivery of the new machine took longer than expected, so Sears gave us money towards our laundromat expenses. We were very pleased with all customer service at every level.
