Kenmore Elite Oasis Agitator 4.5 cu. ft. Capacity Top-Load Washer —

We purchased this rather expensive machine exactly two years ago and 1 day . (03-16-09) We began to notice about a month ago, that during the spin cycle the washer would get very loud. We had our home insurance company look at it as the mfg. warranty expires after a year. The guy determined the bearings in the machine were shot already. We are retired and the machine only got minimal use from the two of us. I certainly expected a much better quality product from tha Kenmore Co. and for the amount of money! It is going to cost nearly 500.00 dollars to repair. Our repair guy suggested we go back to the lower end models because he has repaired those less often. Our prior washer was an Amana and it lasted 13 yrs with one minor problem. I don"t recommend this washer to anyone unless less you can afford to repair it about every two years.
