I just replaced my old 11yr kenmore and decided on the kemore oasis, LOVE IT. It is very very quiet and gets cloths really cloth especially white. I love the handwash (wash all my shirts no matter what the fabric is) does not pill or ruin my cloths. The spin cycle is very gentle and cloths will last... review »

When at Sears we read various reviews for this machine. Some purchasers were furious; others were delighted. We decided we would take a chance on the machine and now we're delighted. The deliverymen were considerate, thoughtful, and thorough, we felt. However, I noted that the machine took an extremely LONG time to load water---I finally clocked it at 69 minutes real clock time (the machine started out at 43 on its timer) and almost as long to load water again at the rinse cycle (45 minutes real clock time; 2 minutes on its timer). After searching for a new washer, I'm so glad I decided on this one! Thank you for the reviews on this message board! This washer has everything I was looking for in a top-loader! My small laundry room can't accommodate a front-loader, plus my friends who have front-loaders do not care for them (small load capacity, too much wrinkling, mildew smell, too expen$ive). I love the capacity of this washer, the wash cycles, and the ability to let the washer decide how much water to use or you can over-ride it and set it yourself. Love that! I love this washer. I've had it for about 6 months. Prior to this, we had another Kenmore washer that lasted for 15 years. My husband is a lineman for Duke Energy and gets grease, tar, etc on his clothing. Our 2 children also tend to get quite messy playing sports and taking care of 4H animals. This washer uses very little water, less expensive HE detergents, and washes almost twice the load as my previous washer. Drying time is not increased due to the larger load because most of the water is spun out of the laundry in the washing machine. ***LOVE the DELAYED start for up to 8 hours!!!! (don't... review »

I PURCHASED THIS WASHER IN DECEMBER. THERE ARE ONLY TWO OF US AS WE ARE RETIRED BUT GRAND KIDS VISIT A LOT. I LOVE THIS MACHINE.... I PREVIOUSLY HAD AN OLD WHIRLPOOL AND WHEN I NEEDED AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR I JUST DECIDED TO INVEST THE MONEY IN A NEW ONE. I RESEARCHED A LOT OF WASHERS. I PICKED THIS AS IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WOULD LAST US FOR A VERY LONG TIME. IT DOES A WONDERFUL JOB OF CLEANING. THE CYCLES ARE NOT HARD TO FIGURE OUT. I love my new washer (6 mos) and it has cut my utility bill by $20 a month! There is a cycle called "whitest of whites" and it has eliminated chlorine bleach from my house. I also bought the dryer and my dry time has been cut by 1/2. I definately would recommend this pairing to a friend or relative.

This is the best washer dryer I ever owned and the most exspensive.You know as well as I do you get what you pay for.The wife and I went out to buy a new washer and dryer the reason is our old one broke for the last time.We planed to spend the less amount we could seeing that we have 6 kids were a big family for today and were planing to have another baby.But once we started to look at them there was so many to choose from so we looked and then got all the information on the ones we wanted.Now alot of the reviews said about the same there was the same amount of pros. and cons.Now were very happy... review »

I have an issue with the clothes coming out of the wash cycle extremely wrinkled--especially jeans. The wash function is supposed to be unique, but as far as I am concerned, I wish I had bought a traditional wash drive. I have to be sure to shake the jeans out well before I pput them in the dryer, and sometimes I still have to iron them! This is just crazy. And this product wasn't cheap.

Bought in January & unfortunately read negative reviews before delivery. Worried & then waited to review but am absolutely "in love" with this machine. I'm well known for being very clean (my granddaughters used to bring home friends clothing for me to get the stains out) and this machine meets all requirements and the stainless steel tub was one of many. I've owned Kenmore washers since 1963 and this machine will keep me coming back. Just wish they would incorporate the old lint removing system on all their models.

As others have stated, I was very hesitant to buy ANY washer with negative reviews on every single model of every single brand. I really wanted to find one with completely mechanical controls, but we are in the electronic age and that wasnt' possible. The Sears warranty and extended warranty were big factors in my choice --- replacement with a different model being an option. I've had this set for 6 months and have had absolutely NO problems. You CAN stop and start the washer without it emptying. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY and consult them when in doubt. I've had no problem opening the washer... review »

Bottom line- this washing machine is worth every penny I paid for it! It is quiet, I use all of the features and my clothes are SO CLEAN. The large tub is great- I get so much more laundry done in the larger capacity- it saves me so much time. I can actually say I LOVE my washing machine. I am a busy housewife who works & I would never take away my valuable time to write this if I didn't feel so strongly about the value of this product! I've read all of the bad reviews and the good. So far this is an amazing washer and we are very glad we purchased it. If you press the stop button once ( as per the instructions ) you can open the lid as many times as you like but, I personally don't think that you will need to unless to add a garment.Also, We love the the way you add detergent. Very Pleased !!!!!!

I purchased my washer nearly a year ago. I didn't want to be too hasty in leaving a review after reading some of the negative comments posted here. However; I feel that I now need to defend this incredible product. I have always been known as the Martha Stewart of laundry within my circle of friends & neighbors. I am the one that they call when they have a laundry dilemma & I can usually help them with the problem. I first visited this website in January 2009 after purchasing this machine and while waiting for delivery the next day. I have to admit that after reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned if we had made the right choice. Having used this machine for the past seven weeks I can report experiencing NONE of the problems which the negative reviews mentioned. It is quiet and performs flawlessly.
