Purchased two months ago and love it. I had to get used to adding detergent first then the clothes, but once I got the hang of it no problems. Makes some strange sounds when sensing water level but other than that I love it!

Stay away from this machine f51 error messages. If you google this issue you will find that people all over the country have been experiencing issues 'without' a recall being offered by Sears. They have for a certain number of customers replaced the 2 motherboards in the unit which are faulty. Once the f51 codes and the F1 code starts... Good luck. Pick anything else that is simple and does not have a computer it in. Just pick something that works, has less breakables and that looks like something that your mother had. Knobs, and a couple of electric wires and timers.

I am under warranty and they have been here 5 times to replace various pieces including the motherboards.

Stay AWAY from the is product.

It's junk in technicolor.

There are a lot of things I like about this machine. It can hold a lot of clothes. With three kids, we definitely need the space. When it was new it was very quiet, but it has gotten louder. It is very easy to use, as well. My kids can actually help with something.

However, I've had this washer for about three years had it has had to be serviced several times. Once, the computer went out. The repair man said it was common in this model. Twice it has gotten it an underwire stuck in the pump. I had not gotten the extended warranty and had to buy a pump on **** and fix it myself. It wasn't that hard, just a pain in the neck.

I'm not sure that I would actually recommend it. It has been a good washer, I guess, but I expect something that is that expensive to last for a while. From what I've observed, though everything is pretty much junk anymore, so just warranty up!

Had it a little under 3 years. Did an ok job. Did not appear to safe us any money on water or electrical as we had thought it would. Tends to twist clothing.The past several months when it is spinning it sounds like a jet plane taking off. Talked to Sears, all they wanted to do was sell me a new one year agreement. Based on what I have read here I will not spent the money to get it repaired. We will run it till it dies and then buy a brand that does not say Sears on it.

I was excited for my new washer and dryer, at 1st. I was "impressed" with the fact of saving water. Well....... sometimes I have to rerun the load, not enough water to wash or rinse the clothes. Parts of items would be dry when I removed them. This part was nasty.

The agitator also twists the clothes into knots, usually offsetting balance. The clothes become so tightly twisted, ironing is required on just about everything.

Also, the Oasis HE and the old fashioned Kenmore I had prior to this one were made in Mexico. There's something real odd about the lids. There is rust at the hinges, and my new machine arrived that way. The repair person said, "I've never heard of that."

I'm limping along with my machines but will no longer be going to Sears for my appliances.

I brought this item for my mom after I graduated from college that was 3 years ago (2007). It took me 1/2 a year to safe that much money to buy the best for my mom. I did my research and consumer report even rate this product to be # 2. Well, after a year and a 1/2 later the washer broke and it wasn't on the warrenty, I'm thinking if I brought the best, it should break that soon. Wel, I was wrong and I had to buy a protection agreement from sears. They sent a repair person to fix it, and it was a manufactory part that broke. He said that they put in the wrong parts for this machine and that's why it broke. So, I fell bad and I paid the protection agreement. Currently, a year and a half later it broke again and now she has to buy her own washer. So much for giving my mom the best.

Same complaints as most of the others. Started out bad w/ the mother board being replaced 1 month after purchase. Service tech skirted direct answers to quality questions. In the 2 yrs we have owned this machine we have replaced the mother board again and again (didn't know about the recall until reading these reviews. F1 errors mean the mother board will go out shortly. Loud? Ours saiys it is equipped w/ QUIET PAK9. We too have described this machine noise as worse than living IN the airport and leave the house when we want to wash a load. Clothes always twisted and knotted. And now it smells musty or worse. HATE THIS MACHINE!!! Have looked for every opportunity to get out the word that Sears does not stand behind their appliances anymore. So sorry that we spent over $1000 on this and 2 yrs later are looking at buying again...just NEVER again a Sears appliance!

I was told by my husband to go out and purchase "THE BEAST, THE BIGGEST & BADDEST" washing machine there was to buy from the little hometown Sears in which I live in. I did just so. I get it home, my husband and son hooked it up, I put my FIRST batch of clothes to wash, the tank filled with water and the noise it made when it attempted to aggitate was unbelievable. Not only did it make loud noises while aggitating, it also made noises that were much worse than my old machine when draining the water. THIS IN UNREAL!!!!!!!!! I mean come on, THE FIRST LOAD OF CLOTHES!!!! You pay top dollar for TOP-OF-THE-LINE products and you get this in return, that would be like paying for a Cadillac and getting a Yugo in return. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE......

All what this washer brought to me are mostly troubles: sure, it's pretty good looking, not noisy and I cannot deny the efficiency. But it FAILS a lot. It spent a half year on repair and I got it back recently (a month ago). Everything started fine until the error things started all over again. The faq didnt help, the warranty is over and I've read that many people had the same issues that I;m dealing and dealed in the past. I don't know about the rest of the Kenmore products but the Oasis HE is terrible and not worth its price.

The washer would have been great but at about 2 years old it developed an F1 error. Now every time we do a load of laundry we have to restart it about 7 times before it will work. Then in the middle of the load we get to do the same thing. The service tech said it's the mother board which is often a problem with these washers, but hey, he can replace it for $400 plus labor. Yeah, right. I just wish the washer would die altogether so I could justify replacing it with anything but another Sears washer. Other than that small detail, the washer does what it's supposed to do and does wash a lot of clothes at once.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Faulty control board issues. They have a recall, but it only covers a small # of products sold. My board went out in 2 1/2 yrs, and cost over $350 to fix! BUYER BEWARE!!

Kenmore Elite Oasis 28062. The best washer I have ever had. I have had it for a year now and love it. Whitest white gets all my whites clean and bright. Easily washes my queen size comforters and they come out beautiful. My towels come out really clean and really soft. We have soft, fluffy towels again. I love the "invisible agitator". I think it is easier on my clothes and definitely cleans very well. Large loads are great. Also have seen energy savings on utilities. Great machine!

We bought the King size capacity plus and it has worked great for our family of five. We have had it for just a little over one year now and have not had any problems. Our water and power usage has actually gone down because we are having to wash fewer loads and the machine is washing those more efficiently. The spin RPM on this Kenmore was much higher than most the other brands and we have noticed a real decrease in our dryer time (which has helped our power usage). We can fill it up with dirty kids play colthes, bulky towels etc... and they always come out clean. Sears was offering a 12 month, no interest deal which worked out great for us (make sure you can pay it off in 12 months of course). I would recommend this washer to a friend.

Just after warranty ended....I used the "HEAVY DUTY" option on the Wash Cycle knob. The appliance man the delivered and installed the unit even warned against using this option. I wondered why...This was the most expensive, fancy appliance I had ever purchased. I am always leary of digital control panels, because they wear out....rely on computerized programs, etc. The Kenmore we had prior was 25 years old!.....2 repairs in its lifetime....Wow, what **** Sears puts out now!!!

I bought my Kenmore Elite Oasis a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. It is a top loader with an agitator which is what I wanted. Since it's just my husband and myself, a top loader is fine for us. The basket is HUGE! I have cut down on the number of wash loads, that's for sure. It is easy to use and you can either use the presets or set your own wash preferences. It has both a handwash and ultra delicate cycle. I don't have to use the HE detergent which was a dealbreaker for me as I don't want an appliance dictating what type of detergent I HAVE to use. I bought last year's model which was actually a floor model. Got a great deal on the price. I did a lot of shopping around before I bought a new machine. I read a lot of reviews. I did buy the 3 year maintenance - just for peace of mind.
