“Sears Service Agreement is worthless!!”

Kenmore Elite Oasis HE — 

Sears Kenmore Elite Oasis HE Washer is pretty good...great capacity. Has a tendency to get out of balance and stop frequently. Also has a tendency to tie sheets into completely twisted knots. Supposedly an upgraded control board solves this. Called for service when washer quit over 3 weeks ago. Bought a Service Agreement from Sears. Service tech has come 4 times and still has not fixed the washer. Keeps ordering parts (which take days to arrive). Bottom line: Washer okay, but temperamental. Sears Service: Worthless!! If you buy a Service Agreement they have you by the short hair and have no sense of urgency about solving the problem.

I can beat you all for sob story... I have bought appliances from sears for the past 28 yrs.... airconditioners, refrigerators, tvs, washers, dryers, diswashers, highend stove, etc... well, my last dryer burnt up, bought another at sears, bought new washer... leaked out the front door... >bought new Kenmore elite oasis he< 1 and 1/2 yrs ago... guess what..stopped working 3 days ago!

Online research suggests its the control board...a lot of people having same issues... letter was sent out by sears, mine delivered late, (I got copy from friend) with my serial #'s CT1970773, model # 110.27092600. Called sears... first they denied recall, then said Oh, yea... but its only the front loaders, not top loaders like yours. Were considering upgrading fridge at sears, not now.

Now I am stuck with machine that won't work and they want to charge me $129 just to give me a repair estimate. Won't honor letter. Sears is not the same old sears you could trust, I guess. I was loyal to them all these years, kinda sad.
