Love Our Washer

My wife and I purchase this washer in 2006, a little over a year later we began getting error codes and having a hard time running it through a full cycle. I called Sears and they quickly had someone here to repair it. It only took him a few minutes to tell that it was the "mother board", and told me...

AWFUL.  This machine does not wash clothes.  It is a joke - a machine yes, but not a washing maching.  It doesn't use enough water.  The designers were trying to be too high tech and green - all we got is a boat without paddles.  To return the Oasis you have to have 4 servicemen report that...

This is another typical sears/kenmore piece of ****.  All you get is error code and dirty laundry.  All Sears wants is your money to repair the item.  They are no help.  I would not recommend this or any sears product to anyone.

piece of Junk

Lasted one year before it had problems and right as the warranty expired. Sears will not stand behind fixing the problems with this machine and even with the recall with the older model A YEAR OLD MODEL if you want to call it older, people on the internet are still having the same issues with the newer model. Buy the extended warranty with this one and be prepared to use it all the time. Who needs the headache when you spend so much on a washer.

Junk, Mangler

Bought this machine a month ago 8/17/10. This is for a family of 5.. Didn't  clean clothes good enough, ripped, tore, and mangled my babies clothes and my clothing!!!!   Would NOT recomended this washer to my worst enemy! Save yourself the grief, Don't buy.  Taking it back and getting a good ole standard washer.

After 5 repair calls and hundreds of dollars later, this 4 year old machine cannot do a single set of king sheets with out going out of balance.  I bought the machine based on its capacity and it doesn't live up to its claim.

K Elite Washer is good

We've had this washer & dryer since August, 2008, and are satisfied.  I like how easy it is to use, and reliable.  The washer does a much better job on clothes if the load is fairly modest, and I do always add an extra rinse.

This machine is off balance 99% of the time.  The associate told me there was no difference between this top loading model and a front loading model - they were wrong.

We bought our washer in 2007, and we have already had to get it worked on two different times, and it just broke again this morning.

If I could give less than a 1 star rating I would.  The machine won't stay balanced no matter what you put in it.  You can't just spin dry and the clothes don't even get very clean.  Don't buy it!

Do more research

It does not clean my clothes well, get stains out good, or leave the clothes smelling fresh. It also leaves bleach spots on our clothes run after we bleached a previous load. It gets out of balance even after they came to replace a defective control panel that must have been a defect with all the washers. I was so excited to get an efficient washer with a large capacity only to end up very disappointed with the performance.

Awesome Machine!

I have always purchased a washing machine with an agitator so I was reluctant to try out the new top loaders or front loaders. I ended up buying this machine because it was a top loader similar to what I was used to. The controls are easy to read, set and run. I have been somewhat concerned about the amount of water used as it sometimes seems like there is not enough water in the machine, but my clothes come out looking very nice and clean. I just wish that it had a soak cycle. I love to soak really dirty laundry overnight and these new machines don't work that way. At first I kept getting black... read full review »

OK, I read the reviews and PANICKED!!!  I thought I had just invested in an expensive, noisy, leaky, clothes ruining bohemoth!

What I actually purchased is... a HUGE, EASY TO USE, QUIET, machine that gets clothes AMAZINGLY CLEAN, with none of the twisting or wrinkling I read about.

Apparently, they changed some things from the earlier machines, and the new ones don't have the same problems or issues.

I have 4 kids who are very into playing outdoor sports, a dog that sheds like it's her job, and a husband who gets very dirty doing yard work.  This machine has handled everything LIKE A PRO!!! ...

Do Not Buy this Washer!

We bought this machine in 2007. Since then I have had 6 repair calls and am finally getting it replaced. I've had the bottom leak out of it, constant codes coming up, it now takes over 4 hours to wash 1 load. The mother board has been replaced twice, each time with a re-built mother board, not brand new. It constantly goes off balance and twists up the clothes so bad we have to pull them out and separate them. What a waste of money, the only good thing is Sears has been wonderful with dealing with these problems and getting me my replacement. Thank God we bought the extended warranty!

Kenmore Oasis Washer

Stay away from this washer.  The cylce is constantly dirupted by an F1 code and you have to constantly restart the washer.  Before you buy, Google "Kenmore Oasis Washer".  I wish we had.  Don't rely on SEARS to be any help either once you purchase it and six months - one year down the road it breaks down.  Don't get me wrong, they'll help if you're willing to pony up $130 for a site visit and then the cost of repair.  Consider a different washer.
