I really like this washer - have had it for probably nearly 2 years. When we first had it, it was very quiet, but after a month, apparently everything gets shaken up enough to where the whole unit goes to town when it spins. It is LOUD. I even had Sears come out and look at it because I was worried something...

I bought this washer and dryer 3 years ago this month. I thought I was just used to a nicer machine and that this would be ok once I got used to it. I was wrong, sadly.

I had bought a Maytage Neptune 10 years ago and sold it with the house I sold 8 years ago. I have missed this machine ever since. From...

Kenmore HE2t 3.7 cu. ft. King Size Capacity... Reviews

The Kenmore HE2 front load washer came highly recommended by the sales associate at my local Sears store.  She said she had a friend who thought it was great.  I'm used to being able to set my water temp and water level but this machine won't allow.  Even when using the "1" item setting it takes over 1 hr to run.  The machine is not quiet at all.  The door stays wet and mildews on the bottom.  Wish I'd stayed with my old top load machine.

I have owned this washer for almost 2 years. I use it often, approximately 3 loads per day.I use it for all types of washing(even the greasy clothes of a mechanic)and never have a problem with anything left in the washer to get on the next load. My water bill dropped tremendously. The only problem I have seen which I have been told is common in all front loaders is that you have to wipe the seal down(around the door) after use to prevent mold Other than that I love it!

Always problems

This washer leaked water 6 months after we bought. It has a cheap plastic tub which if any debris in pockets get into it, it cracks. I have had it replaced twice now and for some reason the washer is still leaking, Now apparently the issue is somewhere else. This thing has a design flaw, DO NOT get it. I have had other front loaders and have never had this issue. Sears has agreed to replace the washer and I will not be getting the same one!!!!

No. 1 - I purchased this washer knowing about the chronic computer board failures thinking it wouldn't happen to me. It did, and sears replaced it under warranty. Thankfully, its an easy but costly fix I can do on my own out of warranty. No. 2 - This washer will clean clothes just as well as a 1500 dollar HE5 washer, all front load washers use the same mechanism to wash; tumbling clothes in a stainless steel drum. Overall, I highly recommend this washer and its a great value.

Love this machine.

I have had my machine about 9 months now and love it. I do not have the problem that others have had with the smell or with clothes not coming cleaning. My clothes are always clean. I wash large loads and do not have a problem. My only complaint with this machine is jet engine noise during the final spin, but it is something I can live with. I did not buy the matching dryer, but with the high spin and less water used my old dryer gets them dry in one cycle unlike before. I would recommend this machine to my friends. I have really liked it.

My shopping experence at Sears is the best I have been shopping at Sears for over 40 years they have always stood by their products (TIRES -REPAIR WORK-TRACTORS - LAWN MOWERS-TOOLS WASHER AND DRYERS-ETC)
THEIR EMPLOYEES SHOW A REAL PLEASURE IN HELPING WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM,AND THAT IS WHY I WILL CONTINUE TO SHOP AT SEARS.

After 6 months,2 machines, and 3 service calls

I had purchased this machine in March of 2008. My family of 4 people used the machine per manufacturer's recommendations and all seemed fine until the machine started to squeak during the wash cycle 1 month after the delivery. I talked to the service department and stated that I wanted a brand new machine delivered since the squeaking one was less than a month old. Service said that it would be no problem to switch the machine out. The new machine arrived a few days later just as expected. We have been using this washer since April, and guess what. The squeaking has started again. I called service,... read full review »

I dont have time for it

I did online research for months.  After locating what I thought was perfection, I ordered this machine. I was excited to the the frontloader energy saving HE2t 3.7 model.  From reading the reviews I knew about the wiping the rubber gasket after each load, and bought the special expensive soap, I had it installed and used it almost a month. During that time I noticed it was not getting dried on food type stuff off, and also had to pretreat and scrape off any and all that sort of glop before I washed, which had never been a prob with a toploader that actually uses water. I also had problems...

this washer literally stinks

this is the worst kenmore purchase i have ever made. as stated in previous reviews, this washer does not get your clothes clean. even if you clean out the gasket, run the monthly cleaning cycle with bleach and not let your clothes run on the delayed timer. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!!! learn from my and others mistake.

Worth the extra money

I was hesitant to buy this washer after reading the reviews and looking at the higher cost vs. top loaders. I have had it for 4 months and love it. Clothes are cleaner and take less time to dry. My water bill has dropped $15/month and the HE detergent is the same cost but only half as much is needed. No off balance loads ever. If I had a complaint, it would be with the end of wash 'buzzer' which sounds more like a smoke detector alarm. I had to shut it off because of the dogs. It was worth every cent.

Not Enough Water!

This machine has worked consistently for 4 months now (no breakdowns or mechanical problems) and if you simply wipe out the excess water that accumulates around the rubber gasket, you should have no smell. Remember to wipe BEHIND the gasket, too. My complaint is basically that these front loaders do not provide enough water to sufficiently clean moderately-dirty clothes. Think about it - it takes water to "suspend" the dirt which is removed from the clothes and carry it away. Since there is such a small amount of water in this machine, how can the dirt really get washed off and away? I have had... read full review »

Great washer

Machine is quite and efficient. I regularly wash large loads of military uniforms and toddler clothes. This washer cleans very well and I have not had the smell issue of other reviewers. I have been very pleased with the performance of this washer and the matching dryer.
