“Sooty residue”

This unit leaves a sooty film on any surfaces nearby. We have had to scrub down the walls and any items on them after a couple of weeks use. initially it seemed to work great but It has been in use less than two months and now it is leaving this dark, sooty film. Not my idea of a clean air filter!

“A Reliable Workhorse”

    This Kenmore HEPA Air Cleaner was a wonderful gift. Everyone who comes into my house now comments on the clean smell. I have two cats and two dogs and I didn't think odor was a problem. Maybe I was wrong, because I can sure tell the difference. And the filter is super easy to change. I'm pretty hard to impress as a rule, but I do recommend this air cleaner. It also helped clear up my hay-fever.

“Kenmore HEPA air cleaner works daily”

“Effective, efficient and quiet”

This air cleaner really gets the job done. We have had other aircleaners in the past and my son has complained about how loud they are and he would turn them off at night. No such complaints with this model. The filters aren't too expensive and they are very easy to change. It can be alittle difficult to clean the vents on the intake in the front if you don't wipe it down weekly. But for the most part we have been very pleased with this model.

“Good brand, but avoid this model”

I have lived with dust and pollen allergies my whole life.  In my experience, the Kenmore brand of air cleaners is a consistently good choice in terms of reliability and quality.  Unfortunately, the extremely low CADR rating on this particular model makes it a waste of money for anyone who needs an air purifier because of allergies.  It might do something, but it won't be nearly enough to do the job with dust and pollen.  To me, it is worth it to pay a little bit more and buy an air cleaner that will do what it is supposed to do.

“Jim in Montana”

I have had 3 of these units, of which 2 run 24/7 and have had them over 2 years. Great Quality , quiet and they work better than I expected. My spouse smokes and I don't and it cleans the air really well. We have to change filters every 3 months ( my preference), however they are really dirty and BROWN from her smoking and need to be changed. My air is better, believe me. Great product. Will buy the same one again if one of these ever wears out.

“Gets the job done”

I purchased this machine to replace a Honeywell that I'd had for many years. The price is what first got my attention, then as I read the details, I saw that it had many of the same features that my old Honeywell had. I was skeptical at first because I felt that no one could do better than a Honeywell. “6 years and still working”

I have used this product for 6 years and keep it running 24 hrs a day. That is a lot of use. I am surprised it is still working. I purchased a second this year for another bedroom. I am confused why the carbon side of the filter is recommended to go inward when other air cleaners, the round style in particular, have the carbon prefilters are outside. I install the filter so that the carbon side is out so that I can clean it without damaging the filter paper. Using it in a master bedroon the filter lasts about 4 to 5 months before the air flow drops off alot. The filter color is gray by then.... read full review »

This is an outstanding air filter for a small room. I feel that it has improved the air quality and cut down on dust in the room.

“Great Product”

I highly recommend this air filter to anyone who suffers from allergies. I noticed an immediate difference (after about 24 hours of running it). This is the only modestly-priced air filter I have found that also works for pet dander. I have already reccommended this product to a friend who was having trouble breathing in the apartment she recently moved to. She said it was amazing. Definitely a great value for the price!

“Excellent”

I was given this air cleaner for Christmas. I liked it so much I purchased one for my grandson whom has been coughing all winter. I am pleased to say he has not cough while sleeping since item was received. And it is quiet. Does not disturb sleep. To me this is very important feature. I owned an lair cleaner by a different manufactor for over 10 years but it was very noisey. This one is great.

“Job Well Done - HOOYAH!”

I am a retired/disabled Master Chief Petty Officer of 30 years service with the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU). So needless to say, I am used to having things MY WAY. I used to have these units shipped in theater; where applicable. (Wish I could have taken it downrange with me!) I am now a Veterans Benefits Officer for my American Legion & VFW posts. “Hurried purchase proves worthy”

Suffering from allergies and asthma, my conditions were made much worse by recent fires in California. It seemed obvious to purchase an air cleaner, so I ran down to my local Sears and purchased the Kenmore HEPA Air cleaner. I was surprised at the difference it really made. This is an excellent unit; small footprint but highly effective. I found much relief after using the unit - I actually felt better than before the fires and smoke became an issue! I like this unit so much, I am probably going to purchase another one.

“Life Saver”

I bought my air cleaner one week ago and oh what a difference it has made in my life already. There were more expensive ones but thought I would try this one first since it was for my bedroom & figured I didn't need something huge. I am a smoker who spends the evenings in my bedroom. You can imagine what it was like smoking in a small area. The smell & smoke at times was very bad. Naturally, I had trouble sleeping. Since purchasing this unit, there is no more smell or smoke.
