“It's been a dependable friend”

I bought this kegerator in 1988 and it has worked great.  I have had to change the door gasket and tap parts but that would be normal on a fridge as old as mine.  I was in the Navy and the kegerator has been to Florida, California, Okinawa Japan, Misawa Japan, West Virginia and now South Carolina and it still works great. 

It would be easier if it had a temperature gauge but over the years I have figured it out.  Mine isn't frost free so that is annoying sometimes.  I move the kegerator into the garage and let it defrost on it's own while I am out buying a new keg.

“Second time happy”

This is my second Kenmore keg dispenser. I bought my first in 1978. The original is still working fine. I gave it to my daughter and son-in-law. When my wife told me that my old dispenser did not match her new decor, she asked if I could get a new one. I immediately looked to Kenmore, since my first unit had given such great service. The new unit is everything that I hoped that it would be. It is working great. The only reason that I rated the unit good instead of excellent is because the new units (like the old) are not frost free. I hoped after thirty years that this would have changed. “Very nice”

Bought this for my husband for his birthday. Overall very pleased... A little tough to put together for me... but had my brother help out and all was good. He was thrilled and we used it for a Memorial Day picnic yesterday and it was WONDERFUL! Everyone loved it!

“4 stars”

I bought this about three months ago and it runs quiet and is easy to set up. This only issue I have is the amount of foam. I can't seem to get the PSI below 12 (I am told I should have it around 8 or 9) but other than that it works great. This last weekend I moved it from my garage to the backyard for a party and back by myself - very easy.

“The Kegereator owners with 24+ yrs experience were right! :)”

I am glad I bought this Kegerator.  It works great and is easier than ever to put together and get draft beer flowing.  I didn't even consider Sears until I saw a comment on one of the beer blogs and my wife said to check the Sears website.  The comments buy owners who have had this product for decades and then bought their kids one convinced me. I ordered online the same day.  The online experience was hassle free and we decided to pick up in the store which was GREAT.

I imagine the people who have trouble with this kegerator either have a damaged item OR DID NOT READ THE DIRECTIONS and didn't...

“worth the effort”

I bought my husband a kegerator for christmas that was not a Kenmore. The quality was terrible; the box was damaged, there were parts missing, and while it was considerably cheaper, I could not justify keeping it. I ordered this one from Sears the same day. I have to say, the quality is much better, but, according to my husband, it is not a unit that should be purchased by someone who lacks moderate carpentry skills. He had no problem putting it together (we didn't have the delivery option), but when he put the first keg in today, he discovered the valves were loose, and therefore leaked beer all... read full review »

“Garbage”

The beautiful piece of trash is going back to Sears. It's temperature is very inconsistent. Its either 42 degrees ot 20. If you barely touch the dial it jumps 20 degrees. Also it is extremely noisy can barely hear the TV over it. The regultor is also inconsistent, I made sure there are no leaks yet it still fluctuates between 8-14psi.

 

I ordered a Danby instead and it is great!

“worth the extra $$”

I initially purcahsed a different kegerator from Home Depot that was nearly half the price of the Kenmore kegerator, but ended up returning it due to poor cooling performance, cheap plastic construction and lack of usable space inside the kegerator. The Kenmore was more expensive, but is of MUCH better quality, cools very well and is nearly silent when running. I installed mine under a counter top and mounted the draft tower on the counter...works great!

I am not real happy..I just bought this item at the end of Nov and I have already had service out here twice.. Replacing thermostats that dont keep this item cold!!!!I have to max this kegerator to even try to keep my beer cold 34 degrees then it freezes up..Im going on service call number 3 now..I am disgusted..Also did I forget to mention the item came damaged?? Yes the wheel caster was stripped and there was scratches all over the front..Sure they took 100 dollars off but now the darn thing still isint staying cold..Im disgusted
