Kenmore Intuition Canister Vacuum Cleaner, Blue Reviews

Just got this home and tried it. First off, there should be directions on how to get it out of the box. I have had carpal tunnel surgery and have been left with not a lot of grip strength in my hands.

The canister refused to move in a straight line, kept banging into the wall, the carpet head was too wide to get between some furniture, the wheels on the carpet head seemed to get stuck on the right side and it would literally hurt my wrist to get itmoving again. Also, the weight of the whole carpet tool and handle was difficult to handle. It was difficult to put together as the hose didn't want...

Bought this vacuum new with 30% discount. Spent more than I would have liked to but based on other reviews and the fact that I have 3 cats and a four year old...this one suited me best.

Works awesome! Pet mate attachment is a great feature. I love that the bare floor attachment comes right off the carpet head for a quick switch. Power head gets closer to the edge of carpet than any vacuum I have ever owned.

Previous vacuum I was using was a Eureka bagless upright. Even on the lowest setting, it would spit dirt out the back. Annoyingly had to clean filter after almost every use.

  I love my Kenmore products.  I had my previous Kenmore canister vacuum for 30 years, yes I said 30 years, and it worked

all thirty of them.  I was a little reluctant trusting my carpet and house to this small canister, but Kenmore did not let me down.

It cleaned the carpets and dusted the window treatments in no time at all, leaving me a little extra time to myself.  Thanks Sears  

The Kenmore Intuition vacuum has met our expectations and then some. The bare floor attachment is part of the rug attachment and makes the transition very easy. You never misplace the attachment.

The vacuum also has great suction with an adjustment for smaller, lighter rugs.

In addition, the tube/handle adjusts to various heights and makes those hard to reach areas easy to get to.

Contrary to their claim, it is not particulary quiet. It is no louder than any other vacuum, but this was a small issue.

Overall, I would highly recommend it.

My new vacuum has great power.  I love the easy maneuverability and the ease of access to the attachments.  Con:  the floor brush needs bristles all the way around the bottom, removing the small wheels.   These wheels on the backside of the bottom of the floor brush make it not as easy to control. 

Overall, great vacuum.  Plenty of power, long power cord, easy to pull around. 

I had really high hopes for this vacuum!

Pros: the bare floor attachment detaches right from of the carpet attachment by means of a simple foot press button for a seamless transition from floor to carpet; telescoping wand makes it easy to reach anywhere; great suction with a button to reduce the suction for more delicate fabrics (ie: Silk curtains); long power cord; on board tools always there when you need them; pet hair removal tool is remarkable for carpeted stairs!

Cons: Price; Hepa bags are expensive; long hose becomes a nuisance to pull around furniture; too heavy to lug up and down the...

Our last Kenmore vacuum died after only 17 years.  We checked around and decided to look at the Kenmore Intuition.  Well, we were surprised at some of the features.  I can't say the salesman was the most informed, but we looked at it a bit on our own and decided this was the one for us.  I'm glad we did.  This thing packs a lot of power and is so much quieter than our old one.  Everything works on ours and works very well. At first we thought the dirty/clean indicator light on the handle was a gimmick, but we actually find ourselves using it.  The hose is a bit longer than what we are use...

Purchased this unit two weeks ago to replace a Kenmore Canister Vacuum that died after 11 years and one repair. I purchased this "Blue" Canister because of past positive experience with Kenmore and the top performance rating by ****************, including a solid reliability rating (fewer repairs). Wow! This is one great little baby. Sucks up everything and I had 14 years worth of dust bunnies behind my bedroom dressers!

I'd have given it 5 stars but the power cord retractor button broke within two weeks of of purchase. However, Sears exchanged it for a new one with no problem!

Also the brush on the small attachment falls off often when moving forcefully in a right to left direction as that depresses the brush release. But just a small problem in an overall great little vacuuum cleaner.

Have had the unit for a couple of weeks, it's very quiet, handles smoothly and picks up dirt efficiently. The wand/hose rotates smoothly and allows you to get under tables and chairs. You can also detach the hard floor unit from the carpet power nozzle, which allows you to get under tight spaces.

Of long term concern, disengaging the hardfloor tool from the power nozzle is tricky as the connection seems flimsly, not sure how long it will hold up, but since we purchased the 5 year extended warranty, feel much better.

This vacuum we have had for a few weeks now and we are very pleased with it!We thought twice about buying this vacuum after reading the reviews.To this point we have not had any problems with this vacuum at all.We have used all attachments and worked flawless.WE just came back to the canisters from the upright bagless model.We really enjoy the ease of upright bagless but dont miss the washing and drying of filters and trays!Did i mention about the dust from dumping the tray?much rather just throw bag away and put another in and go!Also we can get under our beds and furniture better with this model....

I have always used Kenmore Canister vacuums.  I will go back to the model that is one or two steps down.  This is the worst vacuum I have ever used.  Floor attachment tilts upward so it does not make contact with the hardwood floor.  The attachment for woodwork is in 2 parts that come apart while in use---why is it in 2 parts??  When using the vacuum on carpet the floor attachment comes apart from the main head.  I still like Kenmore vacuums and will buy another.  I thought this one would be top of the line but was just pricey problems.  I took mine back in less than 3 weeks.
