We were looking for a canister cleaner with enough power to effectively clean a large home with children and pets. We purchased the Intuition, along with the extended warranty, with the intent of owning a powerful and reliable vacuum that we would have for the long-term. The Intuition's cleaning...

Most Helpful Critical Review

I paid the extra amount for this vaccuum cleaner two years ago because it got good ratings in **************** and elsewhere. I typically do well when making major purchases this way but not in this case. After light use, the motor failed. To me this is unacceptable for something that cost so much. It...

Kenmore Intuition Vacuum Reviews

I bought a Sears Intuition Vacuum 3 months ago. It was expense and has been nothing but a headache ever since. No matter what we do the "check bag" light continues to stay on. It doesn't pick up anything. I am so frustrated I could "scream". There aren't really many reasons for me to shop at Sears much anymore. I live in California and there are many better places to shop for bargains. I thought that I could trust the Sears name where a vacuum cleaner is concerned. I am very dissapointed. I won't be returning to Sears to shop again. The quality just isn't there anymore. Very sad!

This Vacuum blows away it's predecessors with the suction derived from the bag's suspended retaining structure that lets the suction on the bag come from all sides rather than just from the back side as before. The unit maintains this power until the bag is filled. This is our third Kenmore and it is the best yet. It has a very handy LED light at the end of the aluminum extension wand that really comes in handy in tight dimmly lit areas. The bare floor attachment pops right out of the main carpet head with the simple pushing of a lever and back just as quick. It was rated Number 1 by ****************...

The intution performs well and has a lot of features that make it easy to use...however within the first 6 months of purchase the quick release for the Power Mate power head broke.  The quality of the plastic housing and latches for the  is middle-of-the-road for durability. Otherwise, it's an acceptable unit.

Intuition is intense

The Intuition vacuum's cleaning power is definitely intense! I have two cats and a husband who seems to collect pieces of everything and deposit it on the floor and the furniture. The Intuition does a terrific job in half the time especially when using the pet power brush tool on the furniture. One of the best time-saving features is the dirt sensor; you're not going over and over the same spot trying to make sure you get everything. If it's green, it's clean!

I did a lot of research online before buying a vacuum. The Intuition was ranked number one for homes with bare floors, pets, and allergies....

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned.  I didn't know if it would be worth it to spend the money on the top of the line vacuum, but was sick dealing with appliance that just didn't work or last.  It made a real difference.  The vacuum is quiet, efficient, good power.

I even like the dirt detector, I thought it was little much, but it gives me a better idea of when to stop cleaning in a certain area.  Previous vacuums i have had tended to throw the dirt around when using the beater bar.  This does not.  I like the fact that you just have to press a foot pedal to disenage the beater...

I recently purchased the Kenmore Intution, after owning Kenmore canister vacs my whole adult life. This one  is as good as ever and has so many new features to make cleaning simpler and easier than before. It has the usual on board attachments, a handy conversion for hard floors (love that!), a retractable cord and the bags are so easy to change. I have a long haired dog that sheads a lot and tracks in dirt, but this vac cleans up on both carpeted and hard floor surfaces. My old Kenmore vacs have held up so well that they end up in the garage, bring used to clean cars after I buy a new one for... read full review »

Works great

I've had this less than a month but so far works great...I wish it didn't cost as much as it did though. We had a cheap bissel before this and it had all kinds of problems and it didn't work as well.

I just bought this Vaccuum less than a month ago..it is a Kenmore Intution from Sears and well I love the Vaccuum but I really didn't like the price tag.  It is very easy to use...I like canisters though...those of you who like uprights might not like the canister.  My 5 year old loves to use it as well.  I like that the power runs down to the actual cleaner.  My mom has a vaccuum that you use a battery to charge it for extra sucking power, the battery doesn't work well on hers.  I like this idea much better.  It has great sucking power and works well on carpet and hardwood, as well as tile.... read full review »
