I love this iron!

I love this iron and I personally hate to iron. This iron heats-up quickly and has a tremendous steam output. The steam output is great for getting our difficult wrinkles. Some have complained about the temperature control being close to the handle. I have only accidently turned off the iron this way...

It's a nice looking product and you expect that for $50.00 you should get something at least half decent. It's very quite and it warms up pretty fast. Now, when it comes to water... IT LEAKS LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW!!! I even went back to the store and asked one of the staff members to open one of the... read full review »

Great Iron!

Purchased this iron to replace older Sunbeam one. It is really great. It is light weight but does a good job both as a steam iron and dry iron. The coating makes it glide smoothly on all fabrics I've ironed so far. I hate ironing, so if I like this iron, it is truely amazing! And I got it for a great price too. Cheaper than the Big Box Store!

Best Iron I Ever Owned

This is the best iron I have ever owned.  I was worried about buying it because of a review that said it leaking from the start.  There had to have been something wrong with that iron or the person that wrote the review.  I do a lot of ironing and I have enjoyed this iron from the get-go.  It doesn't drip.  It has the perfect sole plate.  It is a great weight - too many irons aren't heavy enough - this is just right.  Just like everything else that says Kenmore on it - it's great and it works!!!

It's an excellent buy

I like the Kenmore Iron because it's strong.  When having to iron jeans and shirts this iron can be adjusted to the right temperature that's needed to get the job.  It's strong enough but light in weight so that anyone even a person with a slight stiffness (like myself) in the hand can handle it.  The color is bright and cheerful.  It's easy to clean.  It's just a wonderful iron

Great steam!

This quality iron does a great job!  The steam is extremely powerful.  I have used it often to steam garments that cannot be ironed.  I have also used it for iron-on transfers that needed high heat, and it did them in a snap.  I love the fact that it heats up quickly, making my routine faster.  I also like how it doesn't drip.

After extensive research on irons I decided the 2 year warranty on the Kenmore brand made it a no brainer. It's the only two year warranty in the industry that I could find. I had read all previous reviews and noted that one person commented that the buttons to change the temperature were situated in a place where you could easily change the temp without noticing but it wasn't a universal complaint.

This iron appears to have many good features. It heated up quickly, is easy to fill the water tank and the digital readout was clear. I'll agree with other reviewers that the steam dial on the front...

I've had a spectrum of irons ranging from low-end drugstore brands to pricey (though not very pricey) professional brands. This iron falls in the middle, price-wise, but comparing its performance, it's by-far the best out there. I've never really been able to make good creases in my dress pants, but with this, I get crisp creases every time with little effort. I can iron my boyfriend's work shirts in half the time it took me with my last, fancier iron as well. There are a few things that would make it perfect though: 1) an easier way to fill the reservoir, as it's hard to tilt and see the water...

I am trying to replace an older B&D model, a 1200w Steam Express 680 that just doesn't cut it on cotton.  I purchased the Kenmore at my local Kmart with high hopes.  I did not test the vertical steam abilities.

The Good:  Heats quickly, doesn't leak, easy to set and read the temperature, soleplate is very smooth making iron easy to maneuver.

The Not-So-Good:

- Weak steam output: at the highest temp (linen) and steam setting (max), didn't seem to produce any more steam than the old iron I'm attempting to replace.

- Lacks steam vents at the tip of the iron: my old B&D didn't have any at...

Leaks from start to finish

Heats quickly but leaks the entire time your using it weather your in steam or non-steam mode.  Don't bother buying it because your clothes get soaked.

Excellent Iron!!

This is the best iron I have ever owned. The steam action is amazing, the weight is just enough so you dont have to work so hard. The only draw back is it is hard to see the water level. With that being said, it is well worth the money. My daughter bought one after she used mine.

Kenmore Steam Iron 0880588

I purchased the Kenmore Steam Iron 0880588 today after I took back the more expensive Kenmore Steam Iron. I am very happy with it with the exception of the button that advances the heat settings. It is in a very bad spot on the iron, which means I am constantly readjusting the temperature unintentionally the whole time I am ironing. My husband is a person who usually can find a way to resolve these type problems, so tomorrow he is going to glue a rubber stop on top of the handle to prevent me from touching those buttons.

This iron is amazing.  I have had it for over 6 months and it hasn't started leaking like every other iron I've had.  I love the design and its the perfect weight.

Fantastic Product!

I bought this iron last November. I have really enjoyed using it. It irons like a dream and gives a little noise when it's warmed up, so you don't have to guess. The opening where you put water in has a little cover, so there are no drips, which is a particular pet peeve of mine. Changing settings is easy and has a nice light up viewing window to see what setting you are on. I checked out a lot of other more expensive irons before settling on this one and couldn't be happier with it's performance. You won't be disappointed!
