I needed a small and fairly light sewing machine that I could move from one place to the other in my house. But I also needed something high quality and this machine was almost perfect. My only little problem is that it doesn't have a handle. But everything else about this sewing machine is great. I would definitely buy it again.
I needed a lightweight machine to travel with and take to classes. This machine has more than filled the bill. Its power is impressive when one considers that this machine is only 3/4 size. I have sewn very thin fabric, furry fleece, and heavy denim with only changing the needle for the appropriate material. It makes a nice 4-step buttonhole. In a pinch this little Kenmore could be an "only" machine. It does sew slower than a regular machine. The manual is easy to understand and shows how to put in an invisible zipper, but no zipper foot is included with the machine. It comes...

All I needed was a good sewing machine to use for a day, so I did not care much about the price since I planned to return it anyway, but once I tried it I decided to keep it! Small, powerful, and does not coast a fortune (bought it on Christmas sale for $70 + online coupon which made shipping free). Extremely useful purchase, one of the best I have ever made.
Slight headache: the bobbin thread tension was off right from the box, so I had to spend some time searching Internet how to fix it.
The needle set (included)...

I said, "I will give it try and after a short time and it breaks down I will just get another one." Well, to my surprise, this sewing machine made me bite my tongue.
It does just about everything, from making a dress, to just fixing a tear. It also is lightweight so I don't mind moving it back and forth to where I store it. It is very easy to use if you are a beginner sewer, but it also does alot more.
I had a little trouble with the tension...

I have used both of theirs frequently and have to say it is a great machine. Even at full price it is a rare to find machines like this one that have mostly all metal parts! Most use plastic parts that break easily. It has all the basic stitches, including a button hole, that you could need. It may be a smaller machine, but it can still handle even the biggest of projects!
This machine may be smaller in size, but it is still a little heavy... but I think...

I looked at several inexpensive machines on line but picked this one due to the great feedback it got. I was pleasantly surprised. It is the perfect size for her, but an adult would like it too. It is super quite and easy to use. Has several stitches to pick from and even does buttonholes. She likes it very much and even her mom did sewing on it which was a big surprise. Great buy.
This little thing does everything it says does and very well. Let's see if keeps doing a good job over time.
This machine was originally purchased so I had an electric sewing machine that I was comfortable allowing my grandchildren to use. This is such a nice machine that I will probably be taking it to classes, quilt camps, etc. as long as the project I'm working does not need anything more then a straight or zig zag stitch.
