I can't believe the ****** knobs on this. Plastic that breaks with minimal use. Some kind of tin foil covering that can't take the heat. Hey Sears, did you realize that stoves emit heat? Now the cheap, plastic, broken knobs are so wobbly I can't tell if the gas is on or off - feeling dizzy, light growing dim, aaargh
This gas cooktop is wonderful!!! The bridge burner is quite handy and there is plenty of room for several pots/pans. This would make an excellent addition to any kitched!
We have had this cooktop for about a month. I love being a guy because it is powerful. The amount of flame this thing throws out is huge. Can boil water in a minute. The dial control of the flme is good too--down to a low simmer. The look of it is industrial and i like it. Now the bad things....the grates, i agree are a bad design. They scratched the stainless with the first couple of days but you know what--they are convered by the grates so I dont really care. If you turn past the lite and then back, the igniting will blow your hair back. Probably all like this being gas but jeez, that takes...
read full review »$1100 Dollars and the Knobs that are made of PLASTIC yes you heard me right Plastic and they are easy to brake OF COURES you can relace them their only $48.72 A peice. I asked if the design for the replacements were changed to help with this DEFECT , ANSWER: NO why when you can shell out another $50 for a new knob.
This is the TOP OF THE LINE???? I have NEVER BROKEN KNOB ON A RANGE UNTIL NOW .
SOOOO disapointed ....I love to cook. This is not a cooking friendly. The controls are bad.. igniter are poor and the gas control is either high or low not in between. It takes forever to even boil water because the only burner you can boil on is maybe the large on and there is only one large burner. The knob locks for safety don't lock well and filled our home with gas. We also purchased a telescope vent and it is just noisy.
looks good and works well for the basics. i have found that i never use the "tri-burner" so that is pretty much a waste of resources. 90% of what i do is on the main burner.
the biggest problem with with POOR CONTROL which is why i would recommend one of the big gourmet brands...especially at this price.
some of the burners dont really have any activity in between low and high settings. i.e., there really is no medium.
the main burner actually goes from low to medium flame, back down to low flame, on its way to a high setting so the control of the heat is really poor.
the small simmer burner...
