http://download.sears.com/misc/85450-A.pdf "File not found."   I wanted to look at the brochure on the new Kenmore Air Cleaners. Can I turn on and off the plasmawave? I could on the last generation kenmore air cleaner.  Have these been measured for ozone levels?   I know this is a problem with ionic purifiers. Thanks

A broken link?

That should be fixed.

Agreed, but I doubt anyone is taking care of that.  Does sears have a manuals download site?  I sometimes misplace my owners manual and it would save time if I could just get it online.

On the ozone, it looks like the plasmawave doesn't use ozone, but Hydroxyl radicals which while a more powerful free radical is short lived so is supposed to be safer and more effective.    I have the previous  Kenmore® EnviroSense (both the small and large) and they are excellent, though I leave the plasmawave off since I'm still uncertain about free radicals in the air.  They've been a life saver for asthma issues in our family when we had all of those forest fires and also when the air gets smoky from winter wood burning.  I hope the new ones are as nice.  I'd like to get one for work.

If you go to www.managemyhome.com and go to the manual portion of that site, just input the model number of the item (usually 5 digits through Sears.com) and it should bring up the manual for it in PDF format :) Hope this helped!

Yes, that's nice though the new Kenmore plasmawave air cleaner manuals aren't there either (model numbers 85450 or 85300 or 85150) unless the web site has the wrong model numbers.  That means I still don't know if I can turn on and off plasmawave like I can with the EnviroSense air cleaners....

What is the long model number, on the machine's dataplate?

If you mean the longer number like Sears item #03285450000 I tried that too.

Here are the 3 I'm looking at.

Sorry the web site link was too long.  Just look for the new Kenmore Plasmawave cleaners model numbers 85450 or 85300 or 85150.

In response to AdamO's post from January 07 2010 03:49PM

Manage My Home has customized their website to accept the 5 digit model numbers on Sears.com since those numbers are usually somewhere in the model number for Kenmore products.

As far as the manual not coming up on www.managemyhome.com, it could be that the manuals have not been scanned and put into the database yet. I'll see what I can find out for you.

Sorry, the managemyhome (life) website, is "down" for site maintenance - at 6:56 PM WST.
