Kenmore Power Miser 12, 75 gallon Natural Gas Water Heater — 

About 15 years ago, Consumers Reports did a report on water heaters and Sears Kenomore was than highly recommended as the best of the best. Since that time there have been no reports done on water heaters from consumers. My original water heater that came with my new house was already 13.5 years old in Feb 2006. It was a State 75 gal. gas .While it was still working I called State and they said the avg life of their water heater is about 7 years. Since I have a finished basement I decided to replace it with a new Sears 75 gal on my schedule. Sears did a perfect install job. I always have hot water and have had no problems. I also have a 75 gal water heater because I have a 50 gal Jacuzzi tub, With 2 of us we take nightime sequential Jacuzzis, the normal water setting is not enough. We turn it on the A setting in the summer and on the B setting in the winter or when there are a total of 4-6 people staying over. The C setting is too HOT.. I would buy it again and is one of the few with a 12 years parts warranty.
