This water heater typically produces lukewarm water - even with the thermostats set high. The only time we get hot water from it is within an hour after it's been drained of the lukewarm water (such as after a long shower) and has had time (45 minutes or so) to reheat the tank. It seems the only time the heating elements are "on" is after the heater has been drained of the "lukewarm" water it usually produces. When I've turned up the thermostats we end up with lukewarm water most of the time and, occasionally, searing hot water. I'm loath to call a technician to look at this as it's $69 minimum charge for what is probably a design issue.
