I ordered this filter online and picked up at my local store. Much to my suprise the fittings are NOT the screw in type but I gave it a try thinking maybe it is a better design. WRONG!! This filter is NOTwhat is shown in the picture. The fittings do NOT screw into the filter as shown in the photograph...

“Do not buy this one.”

I bought this filter. And it works great, after you spend another ten bucks buying brass connectors so it does not leak. I spent more money and time trying to get this thing to stop leaking. Go to ***** and buy the same thing, with all metal built in connectors for ten bucks less. They need to ditch the plastic fittings, they are worthless in my opinion. On top of that you cannot buy parts for it, so when you want to replace one little part you cannot, its a shame. Sears used to be alot better, I go to different stores now when I can.

“in line water filter for Fridge”

Very easy to assemble even for a "non-handyman." Took about 15 minutes hooking it up to the waterline under the kitchen sink. Water taste, form the fridge door water dispenser and ice is vastly improved. Only 4 stars in some areas as I would like for this filter to block a greater number of germs, chemicals etc...
