I have the 30" version of this unit and one of the burner control knobs fell off and I can not re-attach it.  Can anyone tell me if they experienced this problem and, if so, how they re-attached the knob?

Other than this problem I have had no problems with the unit.

Any help would be most appreciated....

Most Helpful Critical Review

The 36" pro gas range does not fit into standard 36" base cabinets (Kraftmade, Thomasville, etc.)  The operational base is 35.5" wide and cabinet must be severly altered to accommodate appliance.  Poor design on part of Frigidaire, as inside of largest 36" base cabinet is 35" maximum.

Love it! Love it!

I love the look of this cooktop and it is great to cook on. The knobs can be turned easily, but nothing that would stop me from buying it again! It is easy to clean. The burner choices are great.

Just bought the 36 inch slide-in cooktop and had the same problem with the knobs. Upon close examination, I discovered when you ensure that the flat part of knob is aligned with flat part of the knob shaft and you push down, you may have to also adjust the entire knob because the edge of the knob itself maybe getting stopped by the outter rim that surrounds the knob. Once I made this discovery and adjustment, I was able to replace knob each time I took it off. A little fustrating at first if you don't get what's happening. As far as the cooktop itself....WOW! As one other reviewer put it,... read full review »

We purchased this cooktop as part of a package when we built our new home 18 months ago.  We did a lot of research before making final appliance decisions. We also have the dishwasher and double wall ovens in this line and the kitchen looks beautiful. Collectively, I'm very pleased with the Pro products.  I'm not a gourmet, but I enjoy baking and cooking and our kitchen is a focal point of the home.

I love having six burners with varying BTUs, prefer gas for cooktops, and think it cleans up easily. I'm careful when replacing the grates after cleaning as they scratch/nick the stainless trim. My...

Like all of you who are reading this review i read so many reviews before i purchased my cooktop almost a year ago. I read many bad reviews about it and was little scared to spend this much money. But i loved the way this cooktop looks so i decided to purchase it and try my luck. And i am so glad that i purchased this beautiful cooktop. It's been a year since i am using it and have no complains. Looks and work absolutely fine. Highly recommend this to everyone. Knobs could have been little better but other than that nothing wrong with this cooktop. Received so many compliments and really happy...

Knob problems

Knobs move too easily, if you rub up against them, they move and gas leaks. When any of the burners are on low, they turn off and gas leaks. Hard to keep edges clean. Looks great.

Overrated...

Product looks good. I agree that the knobs move too easily and are disappointingly cheap in construction. Burners get very hot but flame output seems to be designed poorly. In hindsight, I should have just gone with my initial decision and purchased Viking or Thermador. I have friends and neighbors that own these rangetops and I was very impressed by them. For the price, I feel that I could have chosen a superior unit.

LOVE IT!

I absolutly love it! It looks beautiful. Cooks really well with all the variety in burner sizes and power you could ever want or need. Plus it is alot easier to clean than any rangetop I've ever had. It makes cooking faster. I've realy enjoyed using it!
