Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum with Telescopic Wand, Blue Moon White —
This vacuum is by far the best one I've ever used. It is my first canister vacuum and it took a little getting used to after using an upright for years but I really love it. I love being able to sweep the entire house without having to change attachements or adjustments. With just the flip of a button, in easy reach right on the handle I can vacuum my hardwood floors, ceremic tile, and carpet with ease. I love the attachements especially the mini motorized brush one. It works wonders on my carpeted stairs! It pulls cat hair off the furniture with ease and is easy to use and stores right in the canister! The cord is plenty long enough for me and I can vaccum a single floor without unplugging. It picks up tons of dirt and you can hear and see it working. I was surprised how bad my old upright actually was! The bag has lasted me about 5 months which seems good to me. I have kids and two cats and vacuum at least twice a week. It picks up cheerios, pine needles, and cat hair with ease. The only thing I don't like about it is having to drag the canister along with me. It just takes some getting used to I guess. It really weighs about the same as some of the uprights I looked at. It takes more room to store but in my house it generally just sits wherever I finish with it since with kids you need it in a pinch frequently. I'm very happy with this vacuum. I've had it for about 5 months and so far don't know what I did without it. It has been durable, easy to use and isn't nearly as noisy as my old upright.
