“Watch out with the Wand!!Replacement parts!$$$”

Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum with Telescopic Wand, Blue Moon White — 

I had my kenmore for four years,and it did a very good job! I have two kids and I vacuum almost every day.(no pets) After about a Year we had to replace the plug,and a year after that we had to replace the plastic part that holds the Telescopic wand together. But of cause we could't get just the plastic part...we had to buy the whole buttom piece with half the wand and the electic cable attached. ca $80.00 two years later....there is another piece (a little plug that connects in the handel from the wand it's burn out all black and to replace that part it would cost almost $140.00 since you have to buy the whole handle part and part of the hose!!To many connections in the wand for me ..the vacuum is still working fine but the wand is the problem!!!I'm in the process of buying a new vac. right now but I'm not sure if it's going to be a kennmore unless they have one were the wand is just one single piece!!I really liked the feature that I can tuirn it on/off on the handle and switch to hard floor to carpet...but If it saves me from having to buy all the replacementparts because of the cable that is attached -then I rather turn it on somewhere else!
