The vacuum looks good and I am hoping it will be useful when it comes to cleaning underneath my bed and when I try to reach far places that I cannot get to without the help of the telescopic feature of the handle. I think it may just do a good/excellent job.

This is my 3rd Kenmore canister vacuum cleaner and so far it has lasted the shortest amount of time. It will be 2 years old tomorrow and I have just replaced the electrical connector that connects the wand to the handle due to an electrical short. This vacuum has been great for me. I have a cat who sheds everywhere, and the mini-motorized attachment works wonders on getting her hair off of furniture.
Another great feature is that the telescoping handle is very simple to use, and you can change the suction level right on the handle.
It's easy to use, and I love that the attachments are right inside the unit.
Not only is this an awesome vacuum cleaner, but this is also one of the best prices for this model! Not that I'm really that into housework, I must admit that if I "have" to vacuum the floors (both carpet and wood), then this is definitely the tool of choice. After buying numerous brands (yes, and consequently returning them!) this one has found a permanent home in our house!
I enjoy using this vacuum as it continues to live up to the good Kenmore name in quality vacuum products. I am pretty rough on my vacuums and this one is holding up excellently even in light of a recent move we've made that has required lots of cleaning time. I am thankful for the neutral and smart white color as opposed to gray, royal blue, or bright red. I find that I shy away from purchasing appliances with such bold colors. Thank you Sears for carrying quality vacuums--please continue to do so!
I received this vacuum six months ago, and I have been very impressed so far. It is lightweight and easy to bring to different floors. I love being able to lengthen the shaft in order to get hard-to-reach spots in ceiling corners, and I have found the upholstery attachment to be quite useful. I would recommend this vacuum highly.
I purchased as a second vac for my upstairs and for the stair attachment. I like that it perches on the stairs and it does a good job. It is quieter than my other vac, which is an older Kenmore canister. I would recommend. As the another reviewer said, the cover over the attachments is a bit flimsy, but overall, a great vacuum. I really like the telescoping wand for reaching the cobwebs overhead.
I just bought this can vac last night and used for the first time today. My old upright vac broke one week ago so I was able to really put it to the test. (hence, no sweeping for one week in a high traffic home with kids and pets) Anyways, I really had fun, yes fun with this vacuum. It cleaned things that I was not sure would come clean. I put the pointed attachment on to clean in tough to reach spots in the kitchen just for starters and it sucked all of the dust and yuck from my fridge front and was pulling things from under the oven. I just purchase one about an hour ago and I can't tell you how much I enjoy using this product. I was amazed how easy it is to move around with and that I can vacuum under my bed, night stands with out moving the furniture around. I like all the extra stuff that comes with it I will definetly use it and you can't beat the price. As far as durability I am not sure since I only used it once but, I LOVE my new vacuum cleaner.
Overall a good machine for the money. Suction could be better. There is air flow where the handle meets the hose and I think that is where some of the problem is. Would say that the value of the machine is good for the cost.
All though this is a bulky, cumbersome and heavy vacumn it does the job well. There are benefits in using a canister getting into low places and on stairs. But, getting twisted around the tube and having to always pick up the main part to carry when you are moving around to different locations. All in all I would recommend this vacumn there is no perfect vacumn.
We purchased our third Kenmore vac of this type in July. Almost immediately, we noticed that every time we pulled back on the floor wand, there was a high-pitch whistle -- EXTREMELY annoying. I returned and exchanged that vac for another of the same model. Serious disappointment! The handle was not properly manufactured -- where the two pieces are supposed to fit together, they're separated and could easily cause serious injuries if anyone slid his/her hand while vacuuming. (I taped the handle with masking tape in order to use it but plan to return it; however, my time restraints make it difficult...

Our prevous Sears canister vac lasted 22 years until it caugh fire last week. We took it outside to cool down and it's still there. The old 22 year old motor gave up and died. I thought that vac would never die.
This new vac is quite an improvement and is much lighter than old smokey. I like this new vac, and interestingly it cleans carpet better than (God forbid) our Dyson from Great Britain. This Sears vac has very powerful suction. The small rotating brush attachment is sublime and cleans cat hair off furniture perfectly.
To sum it up this new Sears vac really sucks dirt! 5 Stars all the way!...
