A mistake that we are returning to store

Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum with Telescopic Wand, Blue Moon White —

We purchased this vacuum after a lot of online AND in store research and decided this was a better deal than the Miehle with the same features. We have tried to use it correctly (right settings, etc.) but it's not working out. First of all, it weighs 25 plus pounds. The Power Mate Jr. for upholstery and stairs made my hands swell both times I used it for less than 20 minutes each. The unit is just TOO heavy for a woman with small hands to hold. The settings on the handle require a person with NO fingernails AND a lot of strength in fingers to change from floor/carpet/off. I should have bought a push button one. We can't keep it running after 15 minutes of use. It keeps shutting off in the middle of vacuuming and having to push the reset button is a hassle. NOTHING is caught in it, the plug isn't loose (then), and there's no reason for it to stop over and over again. The red reset button is a decessed button that's hard to push down so I carry a pen all the time I'm vacuuming to push the button all the way down. And now all of a sudden it won't stay plugged in. It just pops out all the time. Now one of these issues would be hardly worth complaining about, but but them together and we think it's a mistake and we are returning it to Sears. Small hands? Weak hands? Weak fingers? Don't buy this vacuum.
