“Worth the price...”

Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum with Telescopic Wand, Blue Moon White — 

I live in Arizona and of course this being the desert and all, we have a LOT of dust. That's just part of living in the desert southwest, but I absolutely wanted a unit that posessed good air filtration. I replaced an upright cleaner which did not filter the air satisfactorily. I purchased this vacuum on sale and as such was happy with the price paid. Things I like about this vacuum: *Rubberized wheels do not scratch hardwood floors. *Horsehair bristles on the PowerMate and attachments are gentle on wood furniture, etc. *PowerMate Jr. is a great tool for stair cleaning. The stair grip swivel caster is unique and helpful for stair cleaning. Never again will I use an upright for carpeted stair cleaning! *Unit is quiet - vacuum motor sounds are muffled fairly well. *HEPA filtration eliminates dust from being spewed back into the air. *Has a LONG power cord. I really appreciate that. Also, the cord retracts into the unit for convenience. *The extendable wand is a big help for cleaning curtians, walls, etc. *All attachments store on-board. Including the PowerMate Jr. *7' long hose is also nice. The power switch is located on the hose handle which is more convenient than on the vacuum itself. There are a few items that could be improved, however: *The covers for the on-board tool and PowerMate Jr. storage could be a bit sturdier. However, with reasonable care, they should not be a problem. *I personally think that a few additional filter bags would be nice. You receive one, but three for starters would be nice. Overall, I feel this vacuum performs it's duties well and is a good value. I would not hesitate to recommend this canister vacuum to anyone as I have been very pleased with it. Air filtration is excellent, there are no filters to shake out/clean/wash. The bag is a throw-away type and the HEPA cartridge is disposable as well which I like as I refuse to deal with a bagless vacuum - they are disgusting when it comes time to clean out the dirt chamber and filter.
