Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Inteli-Clean System Slate Blue (35922) —
At first we were pleased with this vacuum, although it is definitely on the heavy side. It vacuums carpet and pet hair very well. However, because it is so heavy and difficult to maneuver, using the onboard tools can be quite a task. As another reviewer wrote, it does not collect hair very well at the edges so we occasionally have to use the edge tool when we want a really thorough job. Then, after about 18 months, the motor began to go and we were forced to choose between repairing it for half the cost of a new vacuum, or junking it. We decided to repair it because it was cheaper than buying a new one, but once it breaks, we will not be buying the same machine again. There are lighter vacuums out there by other manufacturers that are better made, with less cheap parts, for only slighter more than this vacuum. Not a good bargain, overall.
