Hands down, this vacuum is amazing. We absolutely love the dirt sensor that tells us how much dirt its pulling out of the carpets. When we were looking for a new vac we saw that Consumer Reports rates this a #1 best buy and we are so glad we bought it -- we couldn't believe how bad our old vac was until we plugged this guy in!

The best feature, hands down, is the intelli-sense cleaning mode that adjusts the speed of the vac depending on how dirty the carpets are.  You may THINK you have cleaned the carpets, but you would be surprised at how much dirt is hiding down in the fibers.  This guy works...

Am very grateful for the red, amber, green lights. Thought my brand new carpets were clean.... No. This vacuum is better than the naked eye. Love seeing the gunk in the bagless tank.

1 hubby + 5 kids + 1 white cat + 1 black cat + 1 white dog + 1 black & white dog = HELP!!!!!!  I have been looking forever for a vacuum that will actually pick up all the pet hair & dirt, too that has a bag.  The Kenmore Progressive Upright is the greatest.  Well worth the money and it was reasonably priced.  The kids can use this vacuum and it will show them when the carpet is all clean with it's Intelli-Clean technology.  No more rushing through the weekly chore now. I love how it works on all our hardwood, too. Much quicker than sweeping.  It is a little bulky for vacuuming carpeted...

In short, I love this vacuum. I spent a fairly long time searching through reviews of vacuums I found online, and had a very hard time coming to any sort of conclusion about what to buy. Finally I got this unit becuase of the **************** rating. It has very strong suction and works very well on pet hair. It's hose is longer than others we've had and all of the attachments are sturdy. With the telescoping wand, it has excellent reach. Only two complaints; the little power attachment is pretty much useless on couches and chairs and it lacks a true dusting brush. It has a brush attachment but...

I finally needed to replace the old vac and, as usual, went straight to **************** for advice.  The Kenmore Progressive was one of the highest rated and was listed as a "Best Buy".  Good enough for me!  I love how the tools are carried on it, as well as the buttons right on the handle, making switching form carpet to bare floor easy.  And the sensor that shows how much dirt is being sucked up is cool, too.

I have a dog (who loves to roll around on the carpet and has black hair) and need to vacuum every other day. My kenmore as never failed me. You have to keep the filter clean and you'll get the best use of it. A little heavy to use on the stairs but I manage

works great...the power headpice doesn't work, but everything else is great.

Great vaccum for every day messes. It is durable and dependable.
