I've had this vacuum for a few years and recently the controls stopped working.  The only way to turn off the vacuum is to unplug it from the wall.  Is there an easy fix or does it need repair?

Check the handle attachment screw(s) to make sure the handle is firmly attached to the bottom part of the vacuum.

If this part gets too loose, the handle trigger mechanism will not operate the internal rocker switch, in the lower part of the machine.
