We have had this product 3 years and bought it based on a **************** recommendation.
About a year ago the dishes stopped getting totally clean. We rinse all dishes before putting them into the machine. Sears came out and for over $100 cleaned it. Two months later the same problem started again....

We've had it for almost two years. Three things strike me at this point:
1. It is so quiet that you really cannot tell it is on.
2. Unless it is poorly loaded (which my 13 year old often does), the dishes get really REALLY clean.
3. We always run it in water saver mode, and it takes a long time from start to finish, maybe 3.5 hours total with cooling. But if you need a fast wash, it does a great job in 45-50 mins but uses a lot more water.
One little part broke, a plastic bracket that held the pivoting glasses rack from lying down. I went back to Sears, and the saleman took a good one off a floor...
read full review »Our old Whirlpool dishwasher was installed in 1998 when we built our house, and it worked well until the end of last year when we had service technicians out several times, and even though a couple times it worked for one or two washes, it always acted strangely after that--wouldm't shut off, hummed, etc. We had to flip the breaker to get it to stop, so finally we got a new one in December--the Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher (Quiet Guard Deluxe). Well we did purchase one and it looked okay, but it just had one major problem. It wasn't too concerned about the amount of stuff that remained on my previously white and gleaming dishes. Not only did it leave bits of food particles here and there, the drying cycle was very good at cooking it on to the dishes so that it took more scrubbing to remove than it would have to wash it by hand in the first place. We just purchased this dishwasher and we are very pleased with it so far. It is not noisy and does a great job cleaning the dishes. I would recommend this dishwasher. The stainless steel looks great.

Absolutely love this dishwasher- super super quiet!
This is the best dishwasher I have experienced in my 67 years! When we have company, I like to run it for them just to show them how quiet it is. It is so quiety one forgets it is running. Someday, all dishwashers will run this quiet, but I have mine now. Oh, yeah, like clean dishes? No worries with this dishwasher. It is worth the cost (especially when bought on sale : )
I love this dishwasher! It not only does a fabulous job cleaning the dishes it is so quiet you can stand in the kitchen and talk on the phone while it's running....really!
This dishwasher is very quiet, easy to load, energy star rated and good value for the price. I'm all about that!
I purchased the Kenmore Quiet Guard because my dishwasher broke and wasn't worth fixing. I was browsing Sears and a Sears Associate helped me. Told me A LOT about this dishwasher and I liked what I heard plus I really liked the design because I have been wanting to change to the stainless steel look. It is real quiet just as described and I love the settings on it also. I highly reccommend it!
