Excellent!

Ordering: Ordered online, picked up in-store an hour and a half later, they loaded it lickity split. Assembly: Easy as pie, took about two hours to put together (all it entailed was putting in a bunch of screws, nothing else). One slight error on their part though, they don't mention the need for four... read full review »

Design is Flawed

Note that this is the second grill I've ever purchased - the last one being a Kenmore that I had for several years and really liked until it was destroyed in hurricane Ike. Because I was so pleased with my old grill, I went ahead and shopped for today's equivalent. While looking at the grill in the... read full review »

Kenmore Red 3-Burner Gas Grill with Side Burner Reviews

Although this grill is nice looking and feels heavy, the design as indicated by other reviews is flawed.  There is a vent or gap between the lid and the back of the grill that allows all of the heat to escape.  I could not get the grill to heat above 350 degrees despite efforts to close the gap with aluminum foil.  What looked like a great deal ($179) as a closeout was not a good value.  There is a reason why these grills are still in stock.  We unfortunately did not see the bad reviews prior to buying.  The worst thing was a wasted afternoon assembling; the best thing was Sears gave full...

Kenmore model #720-0679R 3 burner grill

I have the an issue with the lack of heat being kept inside the cooking compartment.  I can't get the grill much above 400F.  That is upon start-up and once I start cooking, when you have to open and close the cover to check on what you are cooking you have all you can do to maintain 300F.  I had the Sears service man check it out.  Conclusion, the hood is a bad design.  When we closed of the back side of the hood off the cooking compartment jumped to 600F in less than 5 minutes.  The feedback from the manufacturer is that the unit is not designed to...

its not bad

I bought this for $126 its the same one ,but blue.Well i put together myself, its took about 3 hours.Installation was not complicated, but instruction a little bit confusing in some points. When i pull from the box it was missing rubber guards on hood, but i went to sears ,and they provide me with new ones. When I finish installation,I decide to light it up.Its lights up quickly no problem so far.it was like 55 F outside it was a windy day, i was waiting for 15 minutes, the most temputer its get hot was 300F with hood close on hi settings, but when you open the hood in 2 minutes temp was drop to 250...

so far so good

Ok,

I just bought this grill two days ago.  I opted to assemble myself, It took me about three hours, but only because I have a three year old that insisted on helping.  This grill assembled nicely, I'm very happy with the propane "plumbing" --well engineered.  The timer works great guys.  All you people that have a timer that doesn't work, try winding it all the way to 60 minutes and then back to the time you want to set.  You'll find that it works fine.  Just like a clock, you need to wind it fully first to get a full loud ring.  I cooked some marinated chicken on it first and was very...

nice grill so far.....

I was extremely disappointed with my last grill (a pricey stainless charbroil) which looked good but didn't cook very evenly and more or less came apart after only 4 years under a covered deck. So I decided to go with the Kenmore brand. After having this grill for a month - it's definitely the best I've ever owned. It cooks extremely evenly, flareups are minimal, and the porcelain coated cook grate is easy to clean. It also starts very easily. I just hope it proves to be durable? But Sears products have almost never let me down. Should have gone with a Kenmore grill a long time ago. The only reason... read full review »

Flimsy Grill

I was not impressed at all with the sturdiness of the base. The magnetic latches do not hold the lower doors shut when you move the grill around, and the doors never did align quite right, even after several adjustments. I was not impressed with the plastic door handles or temperature knobs. The top is fairly sturdy, but it arrived with several areas of chipped paint. The timer is a useless feature. For $350, I expected a much higher quality grill. I'm returning mine and will look at the Weber grills instead.

Kenmore grill RED

I have been looking at this grill for a bit, trying to get a lower price after reading all the reviews. When I purchased this grill about a month ago, the reviews were horrible, people had to return several times, don't grill on windy days etc.. blah blah blah! After reading this review, run- don't walk to your nearest Kmart or Sears and buy this grill. (: I'm not good with items like Ikea assembly, but the grill was a breeze to assemble. The instructions could have been printed in larger font, but I managed perfectly. The grill wasn't dented, it wasn't scratched and the timer bell is loud enough... read full review »

Fantastic! (after you build it)

OK, I have to caveat this review by warning people that if you're not prepared to do a pretty complex installation, then see if you can have Sears build it for you.  There are tons of screws, washers, big heavy pieces, small easy-to-lose pieces ... and instructions that are not quite good enough.

But if you're willing to put in the work, you'll have a really fine, powerful grill.  You get a lot for the money.  We got the grill at the beginning of summer and it's been used dozens of times since then.  It cooks food evenly and cleanly, and cleans up well.  One issue - I usually clean a grill...

5 stars

Love this grill!! cooks evenly, looks nice, easy to clean. Heats up well, no flare ups and the ignitor works great. The timer is not real loud, but otherwise I am extremely happy with his grill. Bought an expensive Stainless Steel grill at a Big name box store 4 years ago and it was awful! Will never do that again! Have all Sears appliances and should have gotten a Sears grill from the get go!! Only draw back is it takes a while to assemble, but with time and patience you will have a great grill!

BIG RED GRILL

Ordered online, paid $269.00 due to a My rewards giftcard and $25.00 online discount. Assembled easily, just a bunch of screws, good directions. Very sturdy construction, heavy top. My door was warped but..... who cares. Lit the thing as soon as it was put together, burgers on 5 minutes later.... Thanks to the timer I did not burn them (Few beers later) Cooked great, minimal flare-ups, GREAT non-stick surface. Great price, great value.... Don't be afraid of this grill.

Tons of defects (Got a Lemon)

Cover did not close, Temp gauge did not work and loose, timer loose, Plastic magnet holding the door was broken. 3 area where the paint was chipped. After 2 weeks outside with a cover over the grill. I found 3 spots of rust on the unpainted area, and start of rust around the stainless steel, knobs. So i returned this product and got full refund. I will try a new model/brand of grill.

heat loss

This grill looks great etc. but there is a huge problem with heat loss due to the large gap in the back.....Major design flaw.....

Red 3-Burner Gas Grill

Beautiful product. Did take a lot of work to assemble but worth the time. Fired up on first attempt unlike other grills I have purchased in the past. Quality is obvious. Purchaser needs to know it comes with no gas tank. Temperature guage on top is handy. Timer on left side is neat feature but has no "ding" so its usefulness is questionable. I am very pleased overall, it's a keeper!
