Ten years; fifteen years? We've had the "side-by-side" for so long I can't remember when we bought it. Never any mechanical problem; just keeps on doing its job for us. Guess why I keep going back to Sears!
I purchased my side by side Kenmore refrigerator November 2007. The only regret I have is that I didn't get the ice maker in the door. It really gets in the way being on the inside of the freezer. It is very quiet running. Freezes well and the veg. and meat bends work really good. I love the large holders in the door of the refrigerator part.
I am very glad I purchased this refrigerator. It also saves a lot of energy compared to my old refrigerator.
I bought a Kenmore side by side refrigerator 2 years ago. We were having a birthday party and when we went to take out the ice cream cake, it slid to the floor. Our old refrigerator had broke.
We went to Sears the next day, because we had always bought our appliances there. As usual, the sales staff found us exactly what we were looking for. She didn't try to pressure us into something more expensive, just a product that met our needs.

Kenmore elite side by side refrigerator counter depth purchased 3/31/09 delivery date 4/13/09. Big inconvenience having to wait two weeks! However, thus far the frige has proven well worth the wait. There is plenty of room in the fridge but the freezer is cramped. An offset is the filtered water and ice dispensor. Both cubed and crushed ice is working really well and the water taste good. No problems thus far. I have never owned a side by side with the water and ice feature so I hope it works out. I think the product is significantly overpriced $1,479.99 At this price I do not expect any problems...

we bought a new refrigerator and we were looking for an actual fridge that was affordable and easy to use, well how about our 18 month old son can access water, yeap he stands on his tipy toes and voila there it is...Our energy bill is lower and we are happy with our producit.
