After reading the reviews on this microwave before buying it the reviews said it is a great microwave for the price. For a medium size unit it was rate at the top. My wife wanted the smaller 700 wattage one but I convinced her with all the cooking we do and reheating food she will save time with the...

Kenmore is/was a respected name in appliances. This microwave failed right out of the box. Sears doesn't even take into account the inconvenience customers have to go through only to find they have bought a worthless piece of equipment, taken time out of their day, have to make two trips to the store...

Kenmore TrueCookPlus 1.2 cu. ft. Countertop... Reviews

After our GE started to show signs of rust at the back a new one was in order.

I reviewed several different models and reviews. Well so far so good!

YES You can turn the Sound (beep) OFF! (Pg 16 of instructions - GOOD READ!)

LOVE the round interior for ease of cleaning.

1200 Watts of power is FABULOUS!

Codes for TrueCookPlus can be downloaded at Kenmore.Com

Placed a piece of grip liner to stop any skidding on the countertop or when pulling the door open. Going from a white to black control panel may take some getting used to - having said that easy enough to adapt!

Bottom line bought this at...

Just bought this yesterday but decided to review because it had two features I wanted that are not available in most microwaves: a pull door (rather than push button opening) and an option to turn off the sound -- NO BEEPING!!! It's great. I do wish it had come in white -- would have suited my kitchen better. Have only used it to heat/reheat so far and it has all the power we need. If it lasts a long time it will have been well worth the money. If not, I'll be back to add another review.

We purchased this microwave to replace a Panasonic microwave that we had for over 15 years. We choose this model because it is highly rated in Consumers Reports. We liked it but unfortunately it stopped working 2 months after the one year warranty expired. SEARS would fix it for $50 plus parts, but since that is half the price of a new one, we decided to get a new microwave. Premature death of microwaves appears to be an industry wide problem. It doesn't matter the brand or the model, every manufacturer seems to suffer from early magnetron failure. Do a search on any web site, whether a store... read full review »

This microwave is so easy to use, and it's just great for the money. I always love Kenmore, so I wasn't surprised!

We just purchased this microwave and so far it seems more powerful than our last microwave of 20 years. I hope it will last more than a few years. If it doesn't, I will not replace it with another Kenmore.

Good one

I bought this on thanksgiving at great price. Really satisfied with its performance.

doesn't last

I had no complaints about this microwave until it quit working after 1 year 2 months. The previous microwave we had was 20 years old before it died. Not sure if I want to take a chance on buying a Kenmore again.

The design of the interior cavity allows for large dishes because the turntable is large and the back of the cavity is rounded in order to utilize the entire space.  The 1,200 watts provide power and the cooking times in most  microwave cooking instructions are based upon 1,200 watts.  This unit is a great value and takes-up very little counter top space.  I replaced a 1.6 cubic foot microwave with this 1.2 cubic foot version and I do not miss the additional capacity - most of which is in the interior height.

This Kenmore TrueCookPlus Microwave Oven cooks evenly and fast. It has a lot of nice features, most of which we don't use too often, but may come in handy yet. The salesman was very personable and helpful.

This replaced a very similar Kenmore microwave so there was no learning curve, I already knew how it worked. I loved the other one and hope I will this one. This one is a little more powerful than the last but that's a good thing.

The touchscreen on the 66339 is very easy to understand and navigate. The power is fine @ 1100 Watts. Our past experience with Kenmore microwaves is that they are built to last. This unit is fun to use and enjoy.

This is my second one.  First one just went POP and shot sparks out the back after 7 years of daily use.

Size is perfect for all food.  Dinner plate fits for reheating a meal.  Rotating glass tray is sturdy and large enough for a full bag of popcorn.

The auto buttons work wonderfully to make a cup of tea in the morning, reheat a muffin or heat up a rye/chicken/cheese sandwich at noon.  Cassaroles and Soups come out perfectly cooked.  Oatmeal comes out perfect.

I love this microwave and would recommend it to everyone.

This one has a reminder beeper that lets you know when you have not...

Our previous microwave oven, also a Kenmore, had developed a crack in the interior enamel.  After 25 years of service from it, I knew we could only replace it with another Kenmore.  We chose the True Cook Plus primarily for the curved interior which would make clean-up much easier.  But now that we have it home, we love the preset settings for softening and melting.  As an avid baker, I know that will come in handy!  We didn't want to spend a lot of money since this microwave will only be with us until we remodel our kitchen, but with the Kenmore name, I know that we will be able to pass this...
