“Run away from this vac!”
I wanted a new dyson vac & since I shop Sears for all appliances I naturally went there. The sales guy said the had a comparable. the Kenmore green upright bagless. I ALWAYS buy Kenmore products so I trusted what they said and bought the Kenmore instead of the Dyson. Big mistake. I had the vac 7 weeks and had to return it. It smoked during use, parts were falling off of it and not good suction. I took it back and they wanted to fix it. I told them I wanted a total new vac. They gave me a new vac. Well, here I am a year later with a heap of junk. I took it back in, sent to repair and was told it would be 280.00 to fix it. I called the store manager a total of 7 times now to see if Sears was going to do anything to help me out since clearly I did not get what I paid for. The manager of the Bloomington Illinois store did return my call, I was out so he left message. I have been trying for 2 weeks now to call him back and get put on hold for 30+ minutes at a time with no one comming back to me! I have went to the store and he is either gone for lunch, not there, busy, or whatever. I am so DISSAPOINTED in Sears right now. All my years of shopping sears & being loyal to the Kenmore brand I find this experience out of character for Sears and am still hopeful they will make this right if I can ever get to the manager that is. Past experiences tell me that it may take me a while to track down the manager but Sears has always stood behind thier products and I hope they still do.
