I just got it hooked up today and did my first load of laundry... This machine took my entire standard clothesbasket in one load! (2 maybe three loads with my old standard units) It took about an hour to finish but the clothes come out so dry the dryer only needs about 15 minutes... so its just like... review »

This front loading washing machine works good but not up to my standards.  My clothes don't seem to smell as clean as they have in the past with my top loading washers.  I also learned that you have to keep on cleaning the glass and the rubber seal where the water sits in.  If you don't it will leave... review »

My old commercial MayTag sprang a leak at the main tub seal and needed a new tub bearing -- $125 in parts alone.  A friend raved about the efficiency of a front-loader, Consumer Reports corroborated that notion, and Kenmore rated high from efficiency, repair record, and overall cost standpoints.  My salesperson (Preston Miller at Sears at the Lakeland Mall in Lakeland Florida) was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and helped with some installation clues.  Installation was a challenge because the power cord got hungup on the drive motor, so I had to take the back off to free the cord before I... review »

Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer is a great washer.  It's large capacity allows me to easily wash my Queen comforter.  Front load saves water and detergent!  Final spin dries clothes so that they need less time in the dryer.  I bought the matching dryer and have it stacked on top of the washer.  The only negatives are that at high spin the washer shakes and pops the door open on the dryer (think I just need to level it better) and you cannot leave items in washer overnight - moldy/musty smell (I run the clean washer cycle with bleach to remove the smell).

This washer gets my clothes just as clean as my previous top loading washer while using less water.  It is amazing.  I can also use less detergent.  The high speed spin dries my clothes out much better than before.  It takes less time to dry the clothes in the dryer.  The price on this model was not that much more than a top loading washer.  The energy savings should pay for the increase in cost within a few months of use.  I highly recommend this model to anyone who needs a new washer.

We bought the Kenmore HE2 Plus last summer to make washing a little easier and more enjoyable for me and to save water.  It was the best buy I've talked my husband into in a long time.  My only draw back is that I sometimes have to rewash some clothes that are stained because they get caught up in other clothes so they might not get the best cleaning the first time (but that could be something I'm doing wrong) and it didn't wash my king size comforter as good as I'd like.   It took a while to get all the water out before I could dry it but again that could have been something I did.  I do... review »

If you buy this machine, you will have to buy the Master Protection Agreement to keep it in repair.  My main problem is that the machine's vobration is so intense it cracks the plastic in the door.  I have to call and have the door repaired every 3 months. Since I invested so much in the machine, I hate to just get rid of it and start over.  My suggestion - look around for a more reliable brand.

The Kenmore Front Load HE2 Plus washer saves money because of it's extra large capacity, and low water usage.  I wash fewer loads and heat less water.  I use less soap as well.  We have the matching dryer, too, and had it coverted to accept propane.  I can see my savings very graphically.  I used to buy propane every six months.  Now I can go a year between fill-ups!  Since the dryer and water heater are the only things that use propane, the answer is obvious!

It saves time because I can add the bleach, detergent, and fabric softener all at the beginning.  And wtih fewer loads, I don't have...

I have owned my Kenmore HE2  for over 1 year. I have never had a problem with leaking, or mold. I have heard of mold on front loaders, but I have always left door cracked after every load. I have also heard constant cleaning and maintenance, never cleaned never maintained. NOT A SINGLE PROBLEM!!!! If it walks all over-it is not level. The legs screw up and down to level it. I had  that problem, but can be fix with some patience. Simple fixes for problems mentioned with it, so I still give it two thumbs up. Oh and I got mine on the scratch and dent sale, so if anyone had problem I should of!... review »

My high efficency Kenmore HE2 amazes me.  I no longer have to set for small, medium or large loads, because it senses the load and picks the amount of water it will use.   My clothes have even come out cleaner that they did with my old machine.

I have dogs and cats and I am always washing their bedding and it does an excellant job getting rid of the fur.

It operates quietly and  I rarely feel any vibration from it, unlike my old washer that shook my mobile home when it spun dry my clothes.

I have also had a reduction in my water and electric bills.

i have been a fan of Kenmore appliances for many years, but the front loading Kenmore washer HE2 series is about the best there is.  It is economical to use, easy to understand as far as the buttons on the front, and I love the pedestal that is available for it to set on.

The pedestal is extra, but well worth the cost.  It saves a lot of back bending as it puts the opening at just the right height for me to easily load and unload the washer.

Our new Kenmore Washer Front Loads are great.  They clean the clothes and are easy to use.  I was intimidated at first because they had so many options I thought it would be confusing to operate, but it was easy and very straightforward. They're quiet and they get the job done.  Just what someone wants in a washer/dryer.

I love this washer. We bought our first washer from Sears over 16 years ago. We just purchased a new Kenmore HE2 Plus and absolutely love it. It handles larger loads and has a Sanitize cycle that allows us to clean our clothes even better than ever. We have two kids with allergies and this will help.

washer is great except for the smell from the drum. You must wipe out the inside between teh door and the drum occasionally or the washer will smell sour. otherwise I love the performance of this washer.
