KitchenAid 18 in. Built-In 50 lb. Capacity Ice Maker (KUIC18NNT) —

This ice maker is in a vacation home on the Texas coast. When it worked, it was fine, but it has been problematic since we bought it 6 years ago. Luckily we bought the extended warranty (then extended it again) because Sears has been out to fix it no less than 10 times. It was almost a joke except the lost hours of dealing with it was not funny! The recurring problem was some sort of water pump - I guess the drain pump, although there were some other issues too. The Sears service department was a 3-ring circus in our case. Sears FINALLY replaced it under their "no lemon guarantee." The new one has only been working for 2 months and so far so good.
