This is the third refrigerator delivered to us by Sears (not Kitchenaid) in 2 months!! First we ordered the top-of-the-line Kenmore Elite. It was poorly made. The ice/water dispenser panel was pulling away from the door with a 1/4 inch gap on each side between the plastic frame and the door and it looked...review »
I have had this refrigerator since January 2007 and have been disappointed that I have rust spots on the door where the water dispenser is located. I contacted Sears and KitchenAid and they both advised that on stainless steel this is not under the warranty. I hate the loud noise it makes when ice is...review »

KitchenAid 24.5 cu. ft. Counter-Dept Side-by... Ratings and Reviews
I got the "MK" model with stainless steel all around. It looks great, and it's one of the few models on the market from any company that has stainless on the sides! For being the most expensive refrigerator from KitchenAid, it feels cheap. The shelves inside feel cheap and lack features that my less expensive older Maytag had. The ice maker spits ice out, missing the cup sometimes. Also, with the refrigerator door fully open (and adjusted correctly), the bins rub against it when you open them fully. The electronic temp controls with digital display are nice and make temp adjustments easy. The LED...review »
We had bought a new Whirlpool fridge and had repeated problems with it. Sears was great about it and replaced the first one and then the second one gave us more problems. We returned it at the store in Temecula, bought the Kitchen Aid, and the sales man was great. I think we ended up saving almost $700 dollars between price matching and rebates. It fits our small kitchen like a glove. The finish is great, the storage abounds, and it is a quiet as a mouse. My wife likes it even better then I do. It is definitely worth the investment and a dream to have.
Overall it is a nice fridge. It has some little qwirks that Kitchenaid should fix. Our icemaker makes a buzzing sound like a cell phone vibrating. Ice shoots out very fast and sometimes misses the cup. When you open the freezer door an ice cube or two drop on the floor and when you open the meat drawer in scraps against the door. We are going to call about the buzzing noise, it is very irritating.
This is my first kitchenaid product. I like the fact it has all stainless sides & front-a feature only found in much more expensive models. Also it seemed to have more door shelf area than kenmore. My only complaint thus far is that when ice is being made it is somewhat noisy until the bucket fills up.
What a great refrigerator. Much better than the Kenmore Pro. Better quality, style, and layout. We traded our Kenmore Pro in for this one because the Kenmore Pro had problems keeping food cold and could not be fixed. Highly recommended.
looks great but, Ice maker shoots ice all over freezer not always in bucket that is in the door. also if you open freezer door at the wrong time ice will come shooting out
