The worst dishwasher ever!! I bought it brand new in August 2009 and am very unhappy with it. I tried to return it within 30 days but company would not allow me. Despite the fact that I cannot fit anything in it, it clean horribly regardless of all my attempts from liquid to powder to tab detergents, but it makes so much noise that I hear it in my basement and in my bedroom while I sleep with the door closed!! It need 2 new parts within 6 months because it started leaking and was supposedly fixed; however, this made the matter worse and haven't been using it for 2 months now. Whirlpool sees nothing...

I have used this dishwasher for 9 months and I am very disappointed. The 15 year-old Whirlpool I replaced did a better job with much less prep. In the beginning I found myself running the same load 2 or 3 times because they never looked clean (lousy smell too). A service technician came four times and could not find a mechanical problem. His advice: use a name brand detergent; the rungs are too close, load dishes in every other one; which cuts capacity by 50% of a dishwasher draw that is already, by design, small. All of this is not great for water or energy conservation.
My observations:...
read full review »This review is for the kitchen aid dishwasher double draw. I do not know what engineers designed this **** but do not waste your money. You cannot fit anything into it...the water never gets t, or they suggest to run your kitchen sink to get the water hot. I have never had to do that with any other dishwasher...so crazy! My ten year old whirlpool dishwasher which I sold for $50. cleaned the dishes great....what a waste of money this thing is.
Don't get it, you'll be sorry!
I've had this kitchenaid dishwasher for almost 4 years without a problem. I find it very handy at home because I sometimes just have a few dishes and other times tons of dishes. It cleans everything! I love the look.
I have previously owned two Kitchenaid dishwashers which we loved. We purchased this dishwasher recently, thinking the two drawers would be convenient since there are no children at home any more. Immediately upon installation, the touchpad overheated and melted part of the covering. We had to disconnect the diswasher and wait for a repair technician. He spent quite a lot of time on the phone with Kitchenaid/Whirlpool, trying to determine the problem. Believing things were resolved, he asked us to run a cycle of dishes that night. None of my plates would fit into either drawer. Also,...
read full review »DON'T buy this - you'll regret it. Can't fit normal dinner plates straight up, and when door opens/closes they crash into each other. Can't fit even small glasses *even juice glasses) or coffee cups on the racks that are supposed to hold them. Terrible design. How can they STILL be marketing this and be serious?
It is the worst dishwasher ever. Despite the fact that it is too small to fit a standard dishes, it clean horribly regardless of all my attempts from liquid to powder to tab detergents, It didn't clean properly for the first 6 months, just about 1 month after the first year of purchase, the part felt out while running cause the dishwasher not to drain. I called the Kitchen Aid service, they just said I should have bought the extended warranty, and there is nothing they can do. They don't stand by the product or service why buy from Kitchen Aid???? Very disappointed consumer.
