Kmart Pharmacy —
We started using the Kmart Generic, 90 day supply, prescription program a few years ago. To our surprise, some of the maintenance 90 day supply of prescriptions we were filling via mail order were listed in the Kmart 90 day generic program. The Kmart pharmacy cost for the listed generic medication is even cheaper than the mail-order that we use...and it sure is nice to receive the medications immediately, rather than wait the 1-2 weeks for mail order.
The Kmart Pharmacy staff are courteous and prompt in filling the prescriptions. After moving about a half hour from the nearest Kmart and thinking that we would not be able to access the Kmart Pharmacy easily, we were totally surprised to find the local Sears has a Kmart Pharmacy within the store.
On the downside, many of the current medications that we need are not part of the Generic program. Hopefully, Kmart will expand the availability of the Generics as a part of this program. Also, I feel that Kmart/Sears needs to advertise their Pharmacy services to let the public know that they should check their local Sears stores to find out if there is a Kmart Pharmacy within the store.
We like the convenience of the Kmart Pharmacy and hope they continue to expand!
