How often do you hear this, "I was shopping and ran out of room in my cart!" Talk about a retailer's dream come true. Unfortunately, this happens all too often at the Kmart in Sedalia, MO because the carts are incredibly small. Unfortunately, I understand why the carts are so small -- because the aisles wouldn't support anything bigger.
This is one of the oldest Kmart locations I know of -- and boy does it show. It's a great place to shop, and the employees are very friendly, but it is in desperate need of a remodel and sprucing up. Just replacing the floor tiles alone would make this a much more positive place to shop. It's been added onto so many times that some of the departments -- like stationary and seasonal items -- are in these strange areas. The stationary department is almost like it is in this "cave".
I drive over 30 minutes to get to this Kmart because its the only one left near me; and I enjoy the sales and Double Coupon events and the quality of the merchandise. I certainly do not want this store to close, but again it really could use some sprucing up.
Overall, I enjoy shopping at the Sedalia, MO Kmart -- and even though my cart never seems to hold quite enough, I look forward to my monthly trip down there to stock up on the essentials and see what's on sale at the K.
