mama2007 says "Buckles Came Undone" about Kolcraft Umbrella Baby Stroller

My parents purchased this product in the spring. My daughter fell out of this stroller head first when the left buckle came undone. Luckily, there were no major injuries when she fell. Since that incident, I have been VERY careful to make sure that I am securely fastening the buckles. Today, when we got home from our one mile daily walk, I noticed that both of the buckles had come undone.
Kolcraft was very easy to deal with and they are replacing the entire seat. However, I have no intention of ever putting my daughter back in this stroller.
The sunshade is also usless and falls down all the time....

I bought this to go on a trip with my 2 year old daughter. We have a several hour layover during both ends of the trip and I didn't want to go without a stroller, but I didn't want to have to lug a bigger one with me on the train (I don't fly). I saw this and thought it was really cute - it's super girly - and I love it. So does my daughter. She is 29 lbs and 35 inches tall and fits in it comfortably. The sun shade is pretty skimpy, but it's an umbrella stroller, afterall. It's not a luxury stroller. It serves it purpose well and it is really nice looking. Folding it is pretty easy too. Definitely no problems so far! It's especially nice for the $20 price tag!!...

I think that this stroller is very convienient as far as size to store in car or at home. I also like the fact that it has an umberella to shade baby. The only thing I don't like is that there is not a basket underneath to store diaper bag....

Leslee says "Pretty colors...Poor quality." about Kolcraft Umbrella Baby Stroller

Umbrella strollers were made for convenience...this one was anything but. The frame warped in 2 weeks from just light use with a 16 pound baby. The mechanism that opens and closes the stroller is hard to operate and requires you to get on the floor with the stroller instead of just using your foot. Also, the canopy is useless. It isn't large enough to protect a baby from sun. The general construction of this stroller is poor. The color we purchased was light pink with light gray polka-dots and it was awfully cute. There are cheaper tent strollers out there that will do just the same as this....
