Very Happy

My wife and I purchased this refrigerator about a year ago after our old one gave out. First, the refrigerator does an excellent job cooling. Temps are even - no freezing spots in the refrigerator part. The size and layout it also very good. We make 90% of our meals at home and shop about every... read full review »

The bottom freezer is very complicated and poorly constructed.  The ice-making set up broke, as did the slide out tray.  And it wasn't being abused, I guarantee.  Less than normal use - I live alone.  The repairman said that LGs are not known for reliable construction and quoted me a price of over...

LG 22.4 cu. ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator ... Reviews

Displaying reviews 1 - 13 of 20 in total

This refrigerator is a great buy at sears with the bottom freezer and ice maker. The ice maker is noisy even with a filter regulator on the unit. The inside of this unit has a good layout with easy access to milk and eggs. The crispers keep the food longer with out spoiling and the ice makers keep the ice full.

The cons on this refrigerator are just that the water going into the ice maker is loud and when the ice is ready to fall into the holder it is also loud.

Quiet, spacious

We bought this fridge in February. It's been a spectacular appliance so far. It runs very quietly, the freezer is spacious, the fridge shelves are easily moved to maximize space as needed, it's energy efficient. I have no regrets purchasing this LG. The only minor complaint I have is that the ice maker is a bit noisy on filling for a batch, and drops the frozen batch a bit noisily.

We have had nothing but trouble from our Maytag/Whirlpool/GE appliances, some as new as 1 year old!!!

However, we've had LG front loader laundry machines since 1/2006 with zero problems!

So, when we decided to replace our refrigerator, I wanted to go LG. Some of the reviews made me a little nervous but this refrigerator is awesome!!

The swing out door makes it easier to organize the freezer section than the drawer so I recommend saving the extra money for the "higher" model since that's really the only difference.

The door beep that some people complain about is not an issue if you aren't leaving...

nice buy

Freezers on the bottom just make the most sense for convenience and economy.  I have had no problems with uneven cooling since getting one of these models and the only regret I now have is that I didn't up to the larger french door freezer on the bottom model.  That is my next purchase.  This one has plenty of space but I need a bit more for a family of six.

I installed this directly next to a wall and because the freezer door handle goes all the way across the top it stays open a little bit. Because of that handle I have a hard time pulling out the ice bin tray and the bottom drawer in the freezer won't pull out.  That is something to think of if you are tight on room and installing next to a wall.

I purchased this fridge to replace a much smaller older version that was quickly dying. I'm happy with the fridge in itself although I have had issues with Sears and the delivery/set up. The fridge is nice and quiet and I am in a fairly small condo where...

This is a very good buy.  The refrigerator works great. The bottom freezer saves my back and is easily organized. I like the swing door and the pull out basket.  I can put things on the door of the freezer that I use often.  I love the fact that I can open the fridge and everything is at eye level. The unit is quiet and keeps everything nice and cold. It's easy to keep clean and the cabinet is nice looking.  It has a sleek smooth exterior and looks great in my kitchen.  I would recommend this refrigerator highly.

Purchased this fridge to replace a 10 year old side-by-side. Hade to order it due to it not being kept in stock. Got a great price due to a sale. The fridge is quiet - I have no idea why pp had complaints re the noise. We don't hear the defrost cycle at all. Every once in a while we hear the sound of ice dropping out of the maker into the tray, but that's to be expected. The shelving feels a bit cheap, but it is sturdy. Our only complaint is the annoyingly loud beeping noise it makes when the door is kept ajar while unloading groceries. I wish there was a way to turn it down. Other than that, no...

Lots of space! Love the adjustable shelves and the fact that a gallon of milk will fit into the door. It is also quiet. I am very satisfied. It is more than I expected.

Excellent Choice!

I've received the fridge in good shape. The delivery folks were great and quick at installing the item. About the fridge: Excellent choice for its class. The price was about $800 for this bottom freezer style. The paint job is slick and is easy to wipe clean unlike other materials. The unit provides lots of "useful" room, i.e. the drawers are good size and fits lettuce and larger vegetables with ease. The ice maker works great, and overall, the fridge holds temperatures very well. I've had it for over a month, and am fully satisfied with it. I was going to get a fridge with a water dispenser,... read full review »

Just bought this and I am very disappointed. I know everybody's threshold for noise is different, and mine may be lower than most, but even my wife, who never complains about anything, has commented several times on how noisy this refrigerator is and how much it runs. It constantly puts out a loud, somewhat high-pitched, pulsing, whining sound when the refrigerator is running (which is a lot). We live in a very quiet house with almost no gadgets or distractions on to mask the noise; this refrigerator can be heard running in every quarter. (And I don't even complain about the "to-be-expected" knocking...

Fabulous Appliance-Exceeded our Expectations-Sears easy Purchase.  I've purchased now 4 refrigerators from Sears and this is the first one from the Online Store.  I will buy again.  The LG was exactly what I was looking for and as I've already stated it has exceeded our expectations.  Very detailed, all fits and functions are top notch.  Delivery guys were right on time and performed very well.  I would recommend Sears and the LG to one and all.  By the way our first refrigerator was a 17 cf GE that is still working ... in the garage ... 33 years later.  We wanted a bigger better looking...

We've had this LG for about a month & love it. It is quiet & roomy; has separate temp controls for fridge & freezer and temp is constant.

Highly recommended!
