We had a specific space to fill & had certain needs to meet & this refrigerator met 90% of them. The Cooler space is well laid out & adaptable for almost any food/beverage/plate item placed inside. I would have loved to have had the deli drawer! The shelves & doors wipe out beautifully. I believe the price could be a bit better on this smaller model. The noise level of the refrigerator is low.
The Freezing space on the other hand is a bit frustrating for me. I would like it to be more organizable. The big drawer "dump in" is challenging. The top shelf that slides is nice, but the lower one is very disorganized most of the time.
Would I purchase this model again? Yes, for the space I have. If I had a larger space, I would not hesitate to purchase a larger LG that would better meet my overall needs with more freezer drawers.
I debated between French Door & Side by Side - I am truly happy that I selected the French Door....

I purchased this refrigerator four months ago and am very happy with it. It has plenty of room inside and the bottom freezer has plenty of space as well. If I were to nit-pick I could say that the ice maker is a little louder than I expected it would be but it really is a very minor thing. The overall style and finish are very complimentary to my other stainless appliances and I would recommend this fridge to anyone else looking in this size/price range.
...

The crisper is great, love the big freezer on the bottom with the pull out drawer. I don't like how you have to put the big stuff in the door. The shelves are not high enough to hold things like milk unless you remove one. The soda drawer is a little annoying, I'd rather have more crisper room.
...

I will never buy an LG appliance again. This fridge stopped working (keeping items in the refrigerator cold, keeping items in the freezer frozen) 2 weeks after our 1-year warranty expired. We had a repair man come out, and he told us that he told us that it was probably a broken compressor and that the freon inside the hoses leaked everywhere. He said it was cost OVER $900 to fix it! Ridiculous! The Sears staff was helpful, but this fridge was a waste of money!
...

Here's some info to consider. The top rated Refrigerators in JD Power's 2009 Survey are Samsung, Maytag and LG in that order. Kenmore elite 5th, Kenmore 6th. LG makes Kenmores. We were constrained in size and configuration. We only had 34 inches width and there is cabinetry across from the Refrigerator constraining door access to dining room. We previously had a Side by Side 33W Maytag in White 20 years old. We had a new stainless range and with PGE rebates decided to upgrade. I did not want ice/water in the door as this is where the majority of repair bills come from and I have hardwood floors. So this limited our choices. I did'nt care for the looks of the Maytag and GE, Samsung wouldn't fit and most models that would had a funky little center strips that flopped back and forth when closing the top doors. It looked like something to go wrong over the years. Only the Kenmore and LG didn't have this.

I read every review I could find and aside from a couple of lemons this seems to be a...
...

I bought this model less than 2 years ago and LOVED IT - great price, looks great - you can fit a lot of stuff in it and it's easy to reach everything.

BUT the circuit board is bad. The factory did not have replacement parts available (12-14 days to come in) and it will cost almost $400 to fix. So two weeks without a refrigerator. Our repair technician says he's seen this before with LGs. Of course it's not covered under the warranty. Not very happy. I suggest spending the extra money to get something with better/more reliable electronics, or make sure you get the extended warranty cause you'll probably need it.
...

Great fridge for the money! True, the ice maker seems to never shut off, but it really hasn't been a big deal. It's suprisingly large on the inside and the french door concept is so nice. It just looks elegant and everyone will think you paid more for it than you really did.

Just an FYI incase you're in the same boat I was....I didn't end up getting the LG dishwasher that matched because it didn't get the best reviews. Instead, I got a kitchenaid dishwasher which has similarly styled handles and it matches very well. The stainless color is almost the same and you can hardly tell a difference. So, if you're kind of buying blind like I was, have no fear that they will match.
...

I've only had this fridge for 3 days and I agree with the other reviews that say it's quite noisy. It's a low frequency hum that rarely stops. I only really hear it when I'm in the kitchen, so it's not a deal breaker. I find the freezer extremely inconvenient. Having to dig for everything is not a lot of fun. The smaller side by side that this replaced held far more than this one. I buy a lot of meat on sale and freeze it and it's going to be difficult to do that with this small bottom freezer. I didn't even have the ice maker hooked up because our local water is SO nasty, so I have useable space where the ice bucket goes, and it's STILL not big enough. So far, I'm not impressed. I do pretty much like the refrigerator section, but even that doesn't hold anything much taller than a soda can. Perhaps I'll feel better after I've adjusted to it a bit more, but if I had to do it over again, I would choose a different refrigerator. NOBODY in the city had this on a showroom where I could...
...

We have had this refrig for about a month and it is very nice for the money. needed the smaller version because of our space limitation. We bought the Kenmore version first but the Satina is not the same as stainless. Sears was good about taking it back and exchanging for this LG. LG and kemore are the same refrig. LG makes Kenmores so the parts are interchangable. One nice feature of the kenmore was the collapsable shelf for taller items. LG doesnt have it but I just ordered one from Kenmore for $40 and it fits like a dream. Good Refrig!
...

I am having a hard time adjusting to the nearly constant noise this refrigerator makes. If people consider this unit quiet, it makes me wonder what they had previously. There is a high pitch droning sound that is audible even with the TV playing. My wife and kids say I am being too picky, but the frequency and tone of the noise drives me nuts, and I am seriously considering returning for another unit. Right now, I am missing my eight year old Whirlpool that never made a sound except for when it dumped ice into the bin. The LG does look great, holds plenty of food and keeps everything cold. If not for the noise, I would be happy with this refrigerator.
...

I have had this refrigerator for one year. My husband and I love it! The LG replaced our 20 year old frig. I was not excited to spend dollars for an appliance, however the LG looks like an expensive furnishing and it has truly updated our kitchen. The capacity is great for a medium size frig. My husband recently returned from Alaska, bringing home 60 lbs. of frozen fish fillets. All of the fish fit into our freezer, WOW! We especially like the french doors and the bottom freezer. The icemaker does overflow and spill a few cubes, when opening the freezer drawer. However, the ice bin has a very large capacity and the spilled cubes are remedied by occasinally turning off the dispenser. We never run out of ice. Our LG refrigerator is not exceptionally quiet....

We knew what style fridge we wanted for our family of four, but were afraid it was going to be too expensive. It truly has a lot of space considering it is only 23.0 cu ft. Having children I also enjoy the alarm that sounds after the fridge has been open for 1 minute or longer (same with the freezer).
