I have owned this dishwasher for nearly six months and I am still waiting for it to get a load of dishes clean. I have tried various cycles and different types and amounts of detergent. Nothing seems to work - especially the dishwasher. It's been nearly another year and I am updating this comment. A repairman looked at the dishwasher and said 130 degrees water temperature was insufficient heat for this dishwasher and that it doesn't have a preheater. The water heater is less than 10 feet from the dishwasher. I increased the water temperature to 155 degrees (dangerously hot) and the dishwasher does OK, not great but OK.

Super quiet, Hardly hear it run. Nice that it holds 16 place settings. Have been pleased with cleaning ability and low utility consumption. Nice that the clean cycle is shortened when the built in sensor detects things are clean. Have seen that some complain about film on dishes. Have not experienced such. I did note that the instructions indicate it is important to utilize rinse additive, especially if your water is hard. Have used such and have seen no film on anything.

Purchased this LG dishwasher becuase it by far is the most sleek and QUIET dishwasher out of all that i have owned (5 total in the last 3 houses). It is not only a very elegant, sleek design, it is also so quiet that you can barely hear it running. Would purchase this one again for sure! LG makes a great product!

Wow what a bad dishwasher!! My 17 years old one did a better job. Two service men later I am having to return it and pay a 15% restocking fee. They all agreed with me that it did not wash the dishes but "found nothing wrong with it". The blame went to hard water, which is funny never had that problem before and how much build-up can one month aquire. Don't buy this dishwasher!...

I purchased the model LDF6920BB in Black outside and stainless inside about 3 months ago. I keep giving the dishwasher the benefit of the doubt but it keeps proving itself wrong. There are a few issues. First, the more you load it, the worst it smells and I practically clean my dishes before they go in. I have had the installation checked and it is perfect. Second, the dishes dont always come out clean, sometimes I have to run it 2-3 times and Third, the dishes and dishwasher are completely wet after its completion. I choose not to use a rinse aid because they dont make a "green" one and the detergent I use is "green"(no harmful chemicals like in regular dishwashing soap). It takes forever to cycle but I will say is very quiet...the ONLY plus. I am very dissatisfied with it and a technician is coming to assess it so I can return it and get something else. It gets one star from me for looks and quietness!!!...

I read the negative reviews on this dishwasher and was a little skeptical about buying it, but thought I would give it a try. Sears said they had made improvements to this model, so I took a chance. This dishwasher looks beautiful in my kitchen! (stainless steel). I love that the controls are hidden at the top of the dishwasher door. When I run a cycle it is so quiet, you can't even tell it's running. My dishes come out sparkling clean and dry. The man who installed the dishwasher recommended using a smaller amount of soap and always use a rinse agent to help better the drying cycle. Some reviewers said their dishes came out with a film, maybe too much soap. Another reviewer said it didn't dry their dishes, maybe try using a rinse agent. I give this dishwasher 5 stars for quality functionality and a great sleek modern look as well as great value....

We are very pleased with our purchase. The dishwasher is so quiet that you will not think it's running. We highly recommend getting a dishwasher like this that has the controls on the top of the door especially if you have little ones in your home. The inside looks great with the stainless steel look. The racks are very durable compared to other brands out there. Yes you will pay a higher price for this model, however it's worth it. I would also recommend getting the protection plan because of all the computer componenents on it just in case. We purchased this model in black....

I bought this LG replacing a Kenmore. I had just purchesed all stainless appliances. I bought the LG because it was very sleek looking. I didn't really pay attention to all the features (by the way, it has none) After 3 weeks of trying to live with this dishwasher, I took it back to Sear's, and purchased another Kenmore. Sear's was wonderful with letting me exchange it. The LG did not dry my dishes. I had to hand dry them all before I put them away. It was so low on the ground that when I opened the door, It would fall on my feet if I didn't move right away. All in all, I would not recommend this dishwasher, neither would my husband!...

We've had this dishwasher a week and are about to take it back. Everything comes out filmy and dirty. It is nice to look at and very quiet but results are very disappointing. We had a Whirlpool beforehand and the results were better....

Does a good job of cleaning but the drying time is very slow. Previous dishwasher was a Kenmore and it was great model but the wrong color. Thought we would try an LG but were disappointed.............

After having been through 3 dishwashers in the last 3 years-this one surely stands out. 2 years ago my husband and I remodeled and went with all Electrolux appliances and had not been happy with them. The dishwasher cleaned ok, sometimes needed some rewashes. After 4 months we needed to have it serviced for leaks and was warned by the repair guy they were pretty but worked like junk. We said goodbye to those appliances and moved to a new house with more old appliances. Last week the dishwasher broke so we tried to do some homework on a good purchase, not to make the same mistake again. We loved the way the LG looked, and wanted to front to be clean. It was easy to install-it took my husband about 1 hour and we took it for a test run. We weren't sure it was running, but after the bell chimed to tell us it was finished we opened it up and there were our sparkling clean dished staring up at us! Even things that had been hardening in the sink for the last day! I don't know what other people......

This is not a good dishwasher at all! Not quiet, dishes come up wet, dishwasher cleanser has to be liquid, otherwise it will stuck in the container. Nice looking though, but not worth it. My 7 year old Bosh is still working perfectly! I regret i purchased this one. LG normally has a very good product though. Stay away from this one....
