I've just purchased the LG front load washer and dryer and think these are the best purchase that I've made in the 23 yrs I've been married. I had washer from GE to Kenmore and Im blown away of how well this washer gets the job done and the dryer is equally the best. So if you are needing to make a purchase of new washer and dryer the LG is the Best in the Midwest!!
I recently purchased the LG washer and dryer, giving my older ones to my son. I thought a long time, weighing all the options available, prices, makes, models and delivery. The LG always landed on the top of the list. I couldn't be happier with my decision. These machines are very quiet when running and instead of the aggrivating buzzer to signal when they are done, they play a happy little tune. Makes doing laundry a very pleasant chore. I would recommend them to anyone.
I bought this model because of its consumer rating, and I'm very happy with it. It's very quiet (contrary to some of the other reviews here--I don't understand how other people could have had issues with noise, as it makes almost none).
Clothes end up almost dry, so my laundry gets done much faster (I have 3 kids so this is a big help). It has a number of cycles which all make sense and are very useful, the display is easy to read, the options (extra rinse, stain cycle, steam, etc.) are helpful and easy to use...in short, it's a wonderful machine. My wife and I decided to "go big or stay at home" when we purchased a new washer and dryer. My wife is always steaming dresses and suits before we go out, so when I saw the steam cycle on the LG top-of-the-line unit, I was intrigued. Interestingly enough, I was more excited about the new machine than my wife. I think it's because I knew it would shave 20-30 minutes off her "getting ready" time when we went out or were getting ready for work. We love the new machine and recommend it without reservation. Be sure to save the shipping bolts in case you move...it will save you heartache later.
That is all I can say about these washers and dryers is HEAVEN!
We have needed a new W/D for the last 2 years and I had 2-3 weeks worth of laundry to do when our new LG W/D showed up. I got all my laundry done it 2 1/2 days. Amazing!!
I would recommend these to anyone!! Especially those with little ones!
I have had this new set for about 3 weeks now. LG spent a lot of time making sure every need was taken care of in this washer. I read a lot of reviews on other brands and this LG addresses all the negative issues I read about from the other brands such as being able to add more water to a cycle and also a quick release on the door lock to be able to add extra clothes once the cycle begins. I have had this washer and dryer for one week and have washed numerous loads daily to confirm in my mind that I made the right choice in a costly product. Simply put, I believe this combo is outstanding! Both washer and dryer are quiet and I have had NO problems with vibration due to the high RPM. Clothes come out of the washer well spun and drying time is considerably cut down. To test I washed a king sized down comforter and was amazed at how rapidly it dryed, slightly over an hour. I would just like to take the time to say that I love my new Washer and Dryer (I got the set). I am a single mom of 2 teenage boys and 1 teenage girl so I am always doing laundry. It took me a while to set them up but with the help of my Dad and a Sears Service man, we got it done. You must read the manual first to make sure the washer runs correctly. One of my mistakes was not taking out the "Shipping Bolts" which made the washer jump all over the place, but one they were removed, the washer ran smooth. It is very quiet, if fact, I wouldn't even know it was running if I couldn't hear the water...

I bought this washing machine because we are a family of 5 and I do a lot of laundry! The washer cuts my laundry time in half because of its extra large load capacity. We have a brand new puppy that has potty accidents from time to time and a husband that works on cars; LG has made this washing machine so that it doesn't leave any smells or stains in my laundry at all! This washer and drier are great machines that save lots of energy and washing supplies. We have had ours for a couple of months and they are so much better than any we have ever seen.
You don't even hear them run, and the size of the load that they handle is twice as much as we could do with our old machines.
The drawer units are great storage space for all of the washing supplies. We went with a gas drier to help save energy also.
Both machines have performed superbly.
We recommend them to everyone we can, everyone that see's them falls in love with them.
I have had this machine for almost a year now and as a mom of 4 I do a lot of laundry. This machine handles large loads including king comforters. It is super quiet and cleans well. I love all the features it includes, like second rinse and prewash. It does not twist your clothing. Even the musical tone it plays when the load is done is pleasant. I have not stacked the washer and dryer yet, but will be doing that and love it has that feature. All in all it is an awesome product.
We bought the matched washer and dryer and had them stacked when delivered by Sears. We used them out that evening and we are extremely pleased with their performance. The set is quiet when operating. They also complete their cycles much faster than our previous washer and dryer. We have been able to reduce our number of loads of laundry. We did our king douvet cover, king sheets, pillow cases, and towels in one load for both the washer and dryer. They posed no problem whatsoever.
