LG 7.0 cu. ft. Capacity Gas Dryer with Dial-A-Cycle Controls —
We have had this dryer for several months and overall I'm disappointed. My old dryer was 23 years old, dying and still did a better job than this dryer. The sensor dry does not seem to work, when I set it on less dry the clothes are sopping wet - this was the setting I used to use for my delicate clothes, same thing is true for the damp setting that they suggested we use for clothes we are going to iron - this setting results in sopping wet cloths - you couldn't iron them without scorching them. Since spandex seems to be in everything these days and it has a tendency to shrink, I like to use the low temperature setting for a lot of clothes but if I use it the dryer stops before the clothes are dry. Also, my clothes come out stiff if I use any temperature above low - even though I shake them out before putting them in the dryer. I find myself using the time dry and doing custom settings.
The settings are also annoying. If you choose the wrinkle guard so the dryer continues to toss the clothes after it is done, the dry signal never sounds. If you use the timed dry you have to do the temperature setting after you set the time or it will change your temperature setting to high. And, on certain clothes settings, you cannot control the temperature.
We bought an LG washer at the same time as the dryer and I like it better than the dryer. We also have an LG Refrigerator that we love. Overall this does not live up to what we have come to expect from LG. I do not recommend this dryer.
